I do own this card too, I have installed your drivers and the original Beta ones from the website and they seem to have the same problem with the microphone : only sound with noise can be heard, like a buzzing ( I can hear the voice too, but with that disturbing noise ). In Skype, the speaker from the other side hears me with the same disturbing sound, and, surprisingly, I hear him too with the same buzz. With the drivers from the CD and the older ones from the website, made at the end of 2008, this buzz is not heard from the microphone, but there is another problem, at least in Youtube and Winamp ( surprisingly, this does not manifest in games ). At random moments, the sound mutes itself ( when this mute occurs, in Youtube the video slows down a bit ) and it does not came back later than 4-5 seconds. This is really disturbing. The same thing happens in Winamp, with the sound mute, but no error occurs in Windows because of that ( forgot to use that I do use Windows 7 ). I really hope my feedback helped you in developing better drivers.
I have tried to enable/disable microphone boost and I hear the same disturbing sound; the thing is that it appears only in the Beta drivers from the website, the ones for Windows 7 made on October 6th and your latest drivers version; on the older ones from the CD and the ones from the website, the sound is crystal clear from the microphone, but the 4-5 seconds pause exists, in Skype, when talking to someone, in Youtube and Winamp. Surprisingly, it does not appear at all in games. When the sound mute occurs for the older drivers, in Skype, the person on the other side does not hear me talking, so I guess the microphone mutes too, not only the speakers. Edit : that buzzing is more like sound popping
Dear Rob, Just wanted to let you know that popping sounds are found also in playback if I open a game, for example Counterstrike Source and then, with the game kept open, I go back to Windows desktop, with ALT+TAB; any opened application in this case, like websites with sound/music or Winamp have that popping sound. Any solution for this?
maybe not I can redo tweak settings in drifter area to see if that helps. I work on it tomorrow. And PM you lastest inf so you don't have redownload it.
no problem w/ mic,but i have no dts/dolby button in entertainment mode, and no decoder (i mean internal or external decoder) in audio panel...i'm using XFI surround 5.1 usb, optical, win 7 64bit....can you gimme some advices? Thx,bro...
Hi mate I don't know anything about USB cards I just tweak them I don't know if they carry Decoder tabs or not you may have paid version for it.
