Well i had been hearing alot of bad things about this...... and I had a demo on the xbox and I thought it played not too bad at all. kind of tomb raiderish in a pleasant pass the time kind of way. I recently got the PC version of this game and I am really enjoying it. some very nice graphics at high resolutions with a pretty well rounded playability. One for all you Tomb Raider fans, and certainly a nice distraction for a time !
Hmmmm.... Maybe I'll check it out. Thanks for the heads up, I would have never have tried it otherwise.
All I've seen is the PC Demo of it. I absolutely detest the camera control/view 'feature'. When Indy gets into a fight and gets against a wall or other such thing, you nearly lose all control of him. If it weren't for this one thing, I'd have to grab the game right now. Otherwise, I'll wait till the price drops.
there is a new IJ game out now. Been out for xbox about 5 weeks or so I guess. Dunno when it came out on pc... www.ign.com would know.
yes I read all the negative reviews as well, and maybe I was expecting the game to be awful, but its not !! yes the camera angles can mess it up at times, and yes its not perfect, but hell im enjoying playing it, I really am. takes me back to the old tomb raider 1 days of playability ! Also coming from the XBOX at 640x480 with no AA to 1280x960 with 4FSAA and 16 aniso is GREAT ! you just gotta love these high end video cards :drool: all in all yes it has faults, but dont just listen to critics... its actually pretty playable.
I dont know what the critics are talking about?my son hasnt stop playing it since i got it and he loves it.
I've had the game for about 3 weeks now, not too bad at all as long as you can run it at high res. Certainly has the Tomb Raider games beat in terms of graphics. The X-box version's music was more robust though. They use something like 96bit mp3's on the PC where the X-box used something like 256bitters.......odd considering there is so much space left over on the second CD. I saw a person had ripped the X-box music to use in the PC version, but links to those kind of sites is strictly forbidden here. Works great with a game controller too.
Has anyone installed the Patch 1.01 for the game yet? And does it remedy at all the camera view problem I mentioned earlier? That's really the only thing holding me back from getting the game. I saw it today at various stores for $39. Dyre Straits
im playing the game, pretty fun. only bad part so far you cant save on the spot. only between levels.:w00t:
