    Hello friends,

I decided to create a new thread for my new build here.
I know, some of you will call me crazy but... I am anyway , lol, lol, lol.
I go with Intel this time...

So, I ordered most of components for my new Intel Core i9-12900K and MSI MEG Z690 UNIFY LGA 1700 Build

Of course I could get the available DDR5 memory but I think I will just wait a bit to see how things develop.

Would you , please share your comments on memory in general, what would you get for that that pair? Brand, size?
I am asking everybody who wants to chip in but I especially waiting for my strongest supporters @callers and @Judas

i'm still thoroughly invested in what micron has been producing as completely trouble free memory, so crucial modules would be best imo.

but honestly, ddr5 is slim picking and current prospects suggest that if you don't get memory right now, you're not going to get it for maybe a year or more, at least not at current value, but the time production gets fully ramped up, oems will have already started adopting ddr5 and the price will skyrocket just like ddr4, and ddr3.. and ddr2 and so on. Historically it takes nearly 3 years for things to smooth out on a new memory standard give or take.

And as such, I would have waited for the new Zen 3D CPUs. Especially if you already owned an AM4 system... you are paying a huge premium to buy into DDR5 right now.

I've only built one 12th gen intel system thus far, using ddr4... i tried to suggest something more affordable that would perform on par in the amd realm as the 5600x is still kicking some serious ass (and any higher end 5000 is that much better)... they insisted, but opted for ddr4 since after telling them the price of ddr5, their bottomless pockets apparently no longer were bottomless.

Yes, I understand, my bottomless pockets will soon become no-bottomless lol, lol.
Maybe I should have wait and ask first but now I just have to go with the flow, bought this at least for now.

    Will it be any good?

gskill isn't too bad ... but it's a roll of the dice often on what ic's they use.

worst that can happen is you'd need to send them back

but regarding intel, they seem to take hynixx or other brands relatively fine.

Now, major question, look at the screenshots from manual.
    "Configure your airflow" Duh? lol,lol,lol.
    1. How should I do my fans setup ? How many? Where? What brand is the best?
    2. Should I plug them into the Fan Hub and plug the Hub into SYS_FAN1? OR should I NOT use Fan Hub and connect individual fans into SYS-FAN1~6?

    Hello friends. Please help
@Judas @Calliers who want to chip in.
If you do not have suggestions for my particular build, please post links about case cooling so I can read on that and decide.
I have tried to look online and found that in this PC case people use more fans than there are sockets, how do I do that, connect two into one socket?
It seems to the whole science behind it.
    Thanks! :)

Actually I ask @Judas for advice, he is the one who did the cable management on my current PC, he said it looked like a rats nest in there when he saw how I had done it. :D

So not much to contribute, other than in the past you could get double molex splitters that allowed you to connect two fans instead of one off of one molex power line.

I did some reading and I think I got the idea. I will need to ask about fan hub though.
I might be OK without the splitters, we will see.
I will post what I plan on in couple days.
    Thanks!

IMO haven't read it all but regarding fan hubs... avoid whenever possible Try your best to use the headers on the board. In the vast majority of cases, going over what the mobo can handle out of the box for the case is generally counter productive anyways.

Remember the less middle men you can have involved, the less potential headaches to deal with.

OK, memory question what is better and why 32GB with faster speed or 64GB with slower speed?
    For example:
    Crucial RAM 64GB Kit (2x32GB) DDR5 4800MHz CL40 Desktop Memory
    or
    G.Skill Trident Z5 Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin SDRAM DDR5 6000 (PC5-48000) CL40-40-40-76 1.30V Dual Channel Desktop Memory

    OR... 2x G.Skill Trident Z5 Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin SDRAM DDR5 6000 (PC5-48000) CL40-40-40-76 1.30V Dual Channel Desktop Memory?
Would 2 of them work in my mobo?
