Hello. I ordered Palit Gaming Pro Rtx 3090. My psu is: Seasonic 750-TX PRIME ULTRA TITANIUM. https://proline.pl/zasilacz-seasonic-prime-tx-750-80plus-titanium-750w-p1403120 It will be ok? cpu is 9700K,32 gb ram,1 sdd,1hdd Somebody on forum told me this:"there are some reports of this PSU model shutting down with RTX3090, even 850W one"
there are reports of even those with 1000-1200watt power supplies experiencing tripping.... most are targeting 850watt minimum 750watt is likely to be overloaded in some aspects. the 3090's are insanely sensitive to power delivery and have peak initial loads and spikes. Most powersupplies can over deliver for up to 15 - 60 seconds, anything beyond that will or should cause a trip which shuts the system down. the 3090 is the hottest/most power hungry brute... the only thing to do is plug it in.. and cross your fingers.
If you have enough money to spend on a 3090 for a bit more performance than the 3080, then you would be wise to just purchase something beefier for a new PSU. Don't forget your whole PC relies/survives on a good PSU. If I was going for a 3090, I wouldn't go for anything less than a good 850W. BUT, it also depends on what else you have on your system...
A lot of people skimp out on buying a good PSU for their system, I say go for a good 1200W or 1000W PSU, something from a good brand, Seasonic is good, EVGA, etc. You shouldn't try to save money by buying a poor PSU, PSUs are just about as important as any other component in your rig.
OMG i not skimp. I had previously 2080 ti waterforce. Now 3090 so thats why i ask if i must change to new psu or not.
Oh no, I didn't mean you were skimping, I just meant some people do. I know that you will do the right thing.
