Can kX driver cause problems with a sound format?

Discovered this problem on 3544, problem continues on 3545.

    Problem:
I seem to have problems with video files with Vorbis sound (mkv with Vorbis sound).
Theres kind of a "zzz"/rapid skipping sound every few seconds.
When it gets severe the video slows down also.
All other sound types seem ok.

At first i thought its the new ffdshow version but when I check back installing the older versions of the codec, the problem still appear.

I didn't have this problem before, its not ffdshow so I thought it could be kX.
Haven't update my graphics driver for quite a while.
Anyway it seems like a sound problem.

kX should have no affect in the decoding of an audio file - it's just a device driver, and has no interaction whatsoever with the decoding process - check playback with a different program, it sounds like the video slowing down is the cause of the sound problems, not the other way around.

update your graphics drivers, and check CPU usage when playing back the video

ctrl+alt+del and check if you use all your resources during video playback.if it is around 100% then your proccesor is not suitable for playing HD videos.

Found out that it probably is kX's fault.
    (Kind of mine too)

I have Media Player Classic set to output to DirectSound: kX Wave.
With the default DSP setup there is sound but with my DSP setup theres no sound at all.
But for my DSP setup, if MPC is set to output to kX Wave there is sound.

With DirectSound: kX Wave and the default DSP the video plays fine.
With kX Wave and my DSP setup theres the problem.
(Maybe something is amiss with my setup in the new version)

    =====================

Solved my problem I changed the source of the [1] Src to Fx Bus 2/3 and it works.
Previously it was Fx Bus 0/1.

    Now Winamp has no sound.
Looks like I need another Src for Fx Bus 0/1 for Winamp.

    My DSP setup now
