Sooo I'm a big gamer and I have a 64bit processor -- it has been a long time sense I ran xp64 (it sucked when i did, basicly had same problems as I do with vista now... unsupported/buggy) is it worthwile now or is xp32 still the way to go for best performance out of games and what not.

My own preference would be XP Pro SP2 32bit. It's much better supported and very mature and stable.

I second that. Many won't agree, but I think 64bit hasn't amounted to anything. There's barely any games, software or hardware that takes advantage of it. Xp SP2 32bit opens you up to the widest variety of games and performance while also minimizing the potential incompatibilities and bugs.

XP x64 was sweet for gaming and performance in general on my machine, but there was a slight problem with the ULI SATA driver that was partly the reason why I'm running Vista(32) now. It's all up to the drivers available for the hardware you have.

    32bit.

Vista 64-bit has been smooth sailing for me, however, running Windows XP x64 was far more problematic.

Stick with 32. Tried and true, no problems w/ apps and drivers ...
