Boy in New Hampshire gets electrocuted when lightning strike passes through TV, PS2 controller. Some may say the violent gameplay of Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto III is shocking. David Robinson, a 14-year-old boy from New Hampshire, knows better than most. While playing the game in the basement of his home during an electrical storm, lightning passed through his television and shocked Robinson through his PlayStation 2 controller. "I was worried my PlayStation was broken," Robinson told NH newspaper Foster's Daily Democrat. Remarkably, Robinson was not seriously injured. The controller, however, was fried. _______________ Source: GameSpot
don't rule out wireless...electricity has been known to take on a life of its own! St. Elmo's Fire....anyone?
Kid should have known better than to play a mature rated game. Yep, this is going into the archives: "Do as I say, don't do as I do." "You'll put your eye out with that thing." "Why? Because I said so, that's why." "Stop crossing your eyes or someday your face will freeze like that." "Stop picking your nose. You not mining for gold." "You should always wear clean underwear incase of an accident." "Don't play with yourself, or you'll go blind." "If I've told you once I've told you a thousand times: no playing mature rated games or you will get electricuted just like that Robinson boy." Guess he'll remember this the next time he tries to play one. S#!^! They should make it manditory. "Warning: This game is not for individuals under the age of 18. If you are under the age of 18, and try to play this game, you will be warned by a 3 stage electric shock system ranging from a mild shock to a coma inducing blast. You've been warned."
D'oh, you took it before I did, hehehe, but ow, that must have been scary, would have been ironic if he was just getting shot when the lightning struck
