Merry Christmas to all of the users here.. Hope You are making the very best of it.. Just Been one of those years we have all made sacrifices etc... Missed out on seeing the Kids in our family enjoying Christmas this year around.... And this is the first xmas in my 47 years that i have not seen any of the family... My Youngest Sister were not only Born on Xmas day, this is also the very same day she turned 40.. So unable to spend some time with her for both occasions. So please lets hope that when the Covid Vaccine starts to role out on a much larger scale, 2021 will Hopefully be much better and we can start to get a more normal life within the near future.

I was born on the 23rd Dec and have hated it since childhood, it is the worst time to have Birthday its always overlooked as christmas is so close and my Birthday present was always just "pick something from under the tree", turned 53 a few days ago and TBH its barely made the radar
You only get one present . Hey, you gotta look at it from a parent's perspectives, it saves money . Merry Christmas everyone . We're celebrating it a little later on around here . No worries, our Jesus and your Jesus can still be buddies .
I have also had the same experience...being born on the 25th. I even recall times as a child when, because my birthday had been already celebrated, I had completely nearly forgotten it was my birthday on Christmas day. Only later in the evening when things had settled down some, I would realize, "Today is my birthday!!!"
I have been very fortunate...lucky!... as my family and many of my friends tend to go nearly overboard to wish me Happy Birthday on the 25th. I'm even getting inundated with birthday wishes today on FB....and text messages. But, I say, at 72, it's about time! LOL!
Happy birthday, MrCairo! Yeah, this year sucks for birthdays, can't go anywhere, can't have friends and family over, can't even shop for presents normally. That doesn't make the day you came into this world any less special, though, so cheers to you! I was lucky, we had a period of relaxed measures around my birthday, so I managed to gather a few friends. I don't think there were more than ten of us, but still, when I thought about it later during the year, when things went bad, it literally seemed unreal that I had a house party for my birthday. I had to ask the better half how did we even manage to do it, with curfew and all that and then she reminded me that the date fell in that brief window when it was allowed.
I can fully understand it, My sister has always said the same. She opted to have her daughter (Who only turned 8) on the 20th of dec of this year, By C-Section to avoid the chance of being another Xmas Baby... BTW not for that reason alone..
LOL it could be a hit and miss experience TBH, one year I took a small box and upon opening it discovered that I had a bell for a Bike , well that was my surprise at Christmas ruined as a the time I dint have a bike, for 2 days solid I annoyed the living fuck out of everyone by ringing the bell every 10 minutes or so, It was my present and TBH it didn't do anything else
I saw an ad from a music shop for a kids' drum set on discount. My thought was "A great gift for the children of someone you hate!"
