Hi guys, I am not sure if this is in the right place or not. If it isnt I am sorry.

I have been a long time DSL user and they finally put cable in where I live. So today I went and got it 5meg connection and with the install pack it says you can either hook the modem up to the pc with the ethernet cable or USB cable. it provides both.

Was wandering what one is better to use or are they both pretty much the same?

    Thanks,
    Tommy

i don't know the true tech details about it.But all i can say after using both from different isp's in the past (uk isp's that is)..

Hands down for ethernet cable... you do get a much quicker and more stable conection in my opinion.

Ethernet connections are meant for networking purposes. USB is meant for different things.

The ethernet connection will be more stable and usually doesn't require a driver to be installed other than what is already there for the NIC :)
