My dog which I have had for a very long time 15-16 years went missing this past Sunday and now I fear the worst has happened (dead or injured). Here is the full story; my dad after coming in from work forgot to lock the gate and "Daisy" ran out the front gate(I was on a trip and not present at the time). She usually does this and my parents where not overly concerned coz she comes back after having done her usual peeing on a tree etc. however on this occasion when she did not come back after a few minutes and because it was raining, my parents got worried and went out to look for her and could not find her even after going around the entire neighborhood.:tears: Now its been 3 days and am soooooo bummed :tears::tears: If she was dead we would have at least found her body right:sigh: which leads me to conclude that she has been dog nabbed or hit by a car or something and somebody disposed of the body....
where do you live again mate? is it possible that a wild animal could have attacked your dog or a neighbor befriended your dog?
man i'm so sorry to here that cow, i sure hope you find her or at least someone calls and says they found her, that is just terrible news. i'll pray for her safe recovery
I live in the middle of town so am positive that it was not a wild animal, and i went around yesterday asking all the neighbors if they had seen her and still no luck Its so frustrating :sigh:
there are no wild animals in gc (gaborone city), its about as developed as any other city, tiny, but developed, theres no way it was a wild animal, if anything happened it was a car or someone stole her
Thanks bro am still holding out hope at leat if i find her body it would be a relief something to burry coz she was part of the family :dead:
yeah man i remember her, she was such a playful lovely dog, its horrible that she's gone missing. i really hope that you guys find her soon, 3 days is a long time but she might still come back home. ash must be crushed as well
Sorry to hear this cow, I had a cat that went missing for 8 days and then just turned up one day. Could have got locked in a garage or anything. Give it time. Craig
Sorry about that man. Patience is the key . Is she used to go somewhere or a specific place you might check.
Thanks guys . @ comp_ali I have checked all the usual placed any way will keep my cool and hope for the best.
you try the dog pound or some animal hospital? Go to vets and show them a photo I hope you get her back.
I'm with H82LUZ on this one, Moo Man. Start putting up flyers around your area, check with the animal shelters and animal hospitals to see if any dogs that fit Daisy's description were brought it. You may even want to check with any groups of kids that you see playing. It sounds weird but a friend of ours had lost their cat when a window was left open. She was walking to the store, saw a group of kids and asked if they had seen an orange cat. It turn out one of the friends of one of the kids had the taken the cat in while they try to find the owner. Cover all of your bases I guess is what I'm trying to say.
I know this might sound weird but I really dont think that my dog would have allowed itself to be taken by anyone and i went around the neighborhood asking and showing people a picture twice already and its been raining the past three days so I will go out later today and do another sweep of the area
Sorry to hear this cow, I know how much family pets can become..... I hope she comes back soon. You keep mentioning that it's raining, any areas near by she could get into deep running water?
Sorry to hear that mate. Hopefully, somebody kind has found your dog and is looking for the you the owner. I had a puppy nabbed once from inside our yard (there was a fence that he couldn't crawl under or jump out of so the person who nabbed him took him from the yard).
sucks mate don't give up hope though, one of my cats had been missing for several months, then last week i opened my living room door and there she was (thin as a rake and looking like death on a stick right enough, but alive..)
