you could solve that simply by allowing only 1 "instance" of every freq osc at a time. or maybe have the same freq oscillators synced?

    Exactly.
Unfortunatly, I would have to re-write/change the entire design just to implement that.
    Maybe sometime.
(currently to busy with an 'Analog Synth cloon')

Well, I only make stuff I would use myself, so I would first try to finish my mini-cloon.
On the other hand, since Tiger's Synth-X picked up on the more 'Analog approach'
recently, we may already have a good Synth when he's done.

I hope that you will not stop developing your virtual analog just because I accidentally made an analog sounding patch. Diversity is what we need, so I'm shure that your synth will sound different, thus giving users a wider range of possibilities. I'm very happy that I'm not alone in synth 'development' for kX.

No, not stopping. More like; re-directing efforts.
    I have so many other projects I'd like to do or finish;
    - VSTi Rhodes, VSTi JazzBass (Rhodes 95% finished)
    - Dynamic SF Preset Loader (VSTi) for kX
    - Lower Manual for this DrawBar Organ
    - Mixerstrips (ala EMU) for kX
    - alternative kX Host (kxmixer.exe replacement)
    - propriarity kX ASIO Host
    - standalone FX box/sampler - VIA EPIA board+CL-card (OS, DSP loader and ADC are operational)
    - kX soundfont 'attack' issue
    ..to name a few, and of course;
    - Spending some time with my wife:-]

Yep, its really fun to use the DSP this way although I prefer doing Instruments on VSTi platform.
Much more versatile, powerfull and of course; it works with every other ASIO card.

LeMury, when will we get to see your VSTi projects?

By the way, you've done a great job on the synth, had not felt that hardware synth feel in a while.

My current VSTis (jazzbass, drums, rhodes) use samples that are not royalty free.
That's ok for personal usage, but I can not distribute them.

So I have to find or make royalty free samples first.

Drums?!! Oh, do I need a drummer/drum machine type of VSTi!! LeMury, I hope you figure out something! Maybe make it so we can use our own samples or something like that. Please consider releasing this drums VSTi??

The drum vsti is kind of hard coded. It loads ~100mb of natural decaying acoustic drum samples, overheads etc.
I wrote it specialy to be triggered/live played with my Roland TD5 trap-kit.
Polyphony is only limited by cpu power so one can do 'real' cymbal rolls and stuff like that.
It doesn't cut off cymbals or open hihats and can do cymbal 'chokes'.

So it's not a 'drum machine' nor can it load 'user' samples.
But there are good free drum sample vstis at KVR which can.
    Fxpansion's (DR-????somethang) is a nice free one I used a lot.

    Drums

Still, a simple drum synth would be a great idea. Its the last thing needed to a make full track straight off the dsp. Or just update Asynth to include a noise oscillator... we can use automation to change from kick to snare sounds ect to save resources.

I already had start making an 'analog drum machine-clone' some time ago.
    (thought no one was interested)

Hmm - never heard about it, I also would appreciate such a thing, inbetween I like all the sound that comes directly from the card, specially if I connect my olĀ“ Pentium 166, it makes a real heavy sound out of hell  without any CPU-hassle, quite unbelievable (I think the EMU10k2 inside has more power than the CPU anyway :D )!
    Greetings!

Nice. What OS are you running on that P166? Win98SE?
Anyway, I'll pick up the TR clone.
