New Features On AIM 4.8 E-mail and Address Book Integration There is now a Send Mail feature on the Buddy List window: With the Send Mail feature, you can e-mail to buddies from your AOL, CompuServe, or Netscape e-mail accounts. Simply select a buddy in the Buddy List and click on Send Mail. The first time you e-mail a buddy, you will be prompted for that buddy's e-mail address. The e-mail address will be saved to your host-based address book and will be automatically used the next time you e-mail the buddy. If you wish to update the e-mail address for a buddy, select the buddy and then choose the Edit E-mail Address menu item: If you do not already have an AOL, CompuServe, or Netscape mailbox that is the same as your AIM Screen Name, then the Send Mail button will send you to a Netscape Mail sign up page. Simply type your AIM Screen Name and password on that web page, and you will be given a free Netscape mailbox that is the same as your AIM screen name. Automatic authentication at the Manage Web Alerts site Now when you choose the Manage Web Alerts item from the My AIM menu and are sent to the AOL Alerts web page, you will be automatically logged in after clicking the Sign In link on that web page.
