Hey I saw a commerical on TV promoting the new james bond movie with the new james bond guy. I myself don't think that guy looks cool at all. The last james bond movie I saw was die another day and I walked out before the movie was over. So what do you guys think, can this new guy bring it back for james bond or was pierce the last best bond?

    I prefer Roger Moore.
I don't know if the new guy can do it, I will have to wait till I watch the movie first. I know I don't like the actual actor as a person, but as a James Bond, I don't know yet.

Haven't seen a more stiff one dimensional actor than Sean Connery as James Bond for a long time. Well, since ever.
I don't think you should blame Rodger Moore for his looks then, it was the late 70s early 80s, hardly the best of times for male hairdos.

You know, now that I think of it, George Lazenby was a fantastic James Bond, though the directing and editing of the movie helped him too.

I'm a bond fan also,i'm eager to see casino royale.... i also can't say anything until i see the film...

But i still think Sean Connery is the best 007 up to now.but it could be something that stands out with Sean that draws you're attention to his style.... Perhaps it's due to the use of intelligence more than gadgets made a difference.

I thought the thread was about how good a james bond is, not how much women find him attractive...

I'm a big Bond fan here too. I think Daniel Craig will be a good Bond. Not better than Sean. Nobody can be him. My favorites right now are Sean and Pierce. It's good to see the Ian's first book made in to a 'real' movie. The 1967 movie I heard was garbage. I've never seen it and I don't I think I ever will.

Craig is a good actor if you've seen him in other movies like Layer Cake you'd know he'd make a great bond. Face it folks, Bond franchise went to pure shit and that's with a Bond nearly everyone liked. Now is time for a change let's wait till we've seen the movie to judge him.

Sean has poise, dignity and style, and his acting, well its timeless, he is in fact capable of many "dimensions". Rodger sadly...reminds me of penniless playboy and a con man. The other chaps are fine really. I have been a Bond movie fan since I switching training pants for trousers. Sean is the pinnacle of the Suave and Debonair type we come to expect from our super heros of the 60s and 70s, he has been copied but never surpassed as far as I am concerned. I recall the thread I started some 6 or 7 months ago about the new Bond, I hope he pulls it off, but Bond will go on forever AFAIAC. A Bond actor without a Scottish Brogue...hmmmmm
    NAH....
Only the Scottish actors can pull that off.
    (or Welsh)

As Roger Ebert put it, Sean was the best bond, but Pierce was the first one that I watched and forgot about Sean. Craig is awesome in layer cake, so who knows.

Lets put it this way, Pierce brought me back into the Bond movies, then destroyed them for me completely.

    connery is the best bond.

    game. set. match....next

however, best bond MOVIES go to brosnan, simply due to having modern technology/budgets.

Also, Brosnan is how i imagine bond LOOKING.....but, ya can't beat connery
