Wait for new drivers from creative Nov 30
I was playing around with the modded realtek and X-Fi MB2 drivers on my onboard sound to try ang experience the difference digital audio provides and after all that testing I uninstalled the drivers and used driver sweeper in safe mode to remove everything.
Now I've installed the 2.35 PAX drivers and when I launch the audio panel it tells me there are no supported audio device available, anyway to fix this ?
I've also tried reverting back to the last version I used which is 1.50 and i still get the same issue.
Did you try system restore? Like said most of you people wait to Nov 30 for official drivers cover windows 8. I be getting windows 8 pro today hoping from my 2nd brother
I dont have system restore activated, Im using Windows 7 x64. I guess reformatting is the only option for this ?
pretty much or system repair?
System repair ?
Ya load the DVD in where you go installed installed there should be area call repair before you click installed.
I had this kind of issue sometime back with windows 7.. you won't need to repair or re-install windows... put the original driver and software cd/dvd came with your creative sound card and install the drivers via "device manager" pointing the driver location to the cd... this will install original drivers and you could update with whatever newer drivers on it....I think this issue is caused by driver sweeper deleting some necessary files or registry settings used by windows to identify the sound card... try this....
First of all thanks for your continues effort on making these nice drivers for the community... I've been using your drivers for 2-3 years may be 4 years...
I tried all most each and every update for the last year or so..Now I'm using the newest drivers...(by the way I have xtremegamer fatal1ty pro card)... Each of them sound very nice and different feeling... (I'm really not an audiophile)...I would like to get your idea on what is the best of your driver version for use with "Headphones" (latest drivers set sound great too).. I don't want that much of bass and really like clean and clear mids and highs as I'm really into classical and oriental music... thank you..
Hats off to you from "Sri Lanka"... keep up the good work.......
Thanks if you really don't want to much bass you can lower in the bass section by few % . I got windows 8 pro now. Just waiting to next week official windows 8 drivers form creative.
I'll try to find the disk that came with my card, Im not even sure if it has 64bit drivers.. or maybe I can download a copy of those somewhere?
Is it possible that you can make the microphone volume remember after a system reboot?
You may need put computer to sleep first then you can reboot then save setting would work on 8. So far setting are sticking at my end which strange.
Btw are the V2.35 fully Windows 8 compatible?
Yes You need do your setup first then put computer sleep then wake then reboot then save setting should work.

Hi. I have Windows 8 64 bit (X-fi XtremeGamer PCI) and I installed the set of drivers yesterday. Sound works. But I can't understand how to get the decoder tab...Is there something special? Or maybe my sound blaster doesn't support this? Before installation I have uninstalled stock drivers and then clean up with driver fusion (old driver sweeper).
where are the new drivers?
Hi Robert, PAX 2.35 Works fine for me in Win8, all channels are working, but I'm getting problem with the SPDIF/IN, it's not working properly.
Creative delay them to Feb lol. Sorry . But I found USB HD driver has newest volume panel and audio control panel I release the set with it. I'm working on usb driver right now.
CMSS working fine ? Save settings too ?
Yes for windows 8 you need put to sleep then wake then reboot then it should work.
Yeah, everything it's working fine (evem CMSS) except SPDIF/IN.
