I formated my pc, testing the new dvd suite you gave, works like a charm :) but i have a question and a problem. Do i have to install the 2.05 Suite over this one cause i read you didnt have it in this dvd suite and one problem. XFI CMSS-3D doesn't work or i think it's not working on the Surround mode.

    Hi Robert.

First of all, HUGE (but HUUUUUUUUUUUGE) thanks for all your hard work and the uber kind support you give us all...

'Been using your drivers for a few months with and Xtreme Gamer with total success.

    A few doubts in here...

*Does the v3.00 suite applies also for PCI-E Titanium series regarding drivers set??? If not, can I only use it's software suite contents without installing drivers? How? I know I can still use v2.05, but this new suit has a lot more staff inside (diag, etc, etc), that I would like to install, and this way I can get rid completely of Creative's bundled cd.

*Does your modded driver unlocks DTS and DD in the affomentioned card or I have to unlock them with provided creative tools intended for that?

Thanks indeed for all your help!!!

Re: New Pax Driver and Suite Discus Thread

Thanks for your quick answer Robert. So there's no workaround for instaling just the software apps included on the v3.00 audio suite after installing driver v3.60? Would I have to stick to suit v2.05 even it it has less apps available?

Thanks once again for your kind support!

Re: New Pax Driver and Suite Discus Thread

Hello and thank you, Robert, for your tremendous efforts! Without guys like you, I don't think I would have ever stuck with Sound Blaster through the years -- I've been loyal since the original v1.5!

I have a Fatal1ty Pro (SB0460) and I/O Drive (SB0256) that ran great in XP Pro for years and even better on the same hardware with Win7 x64 until Automatic Updates restarted my machine in August. That night, I lost audio effects and control of features exclusive to the Creative software suite.

Every attempt to fix the problem has made things worse. Creative support has been no help, and after several exhausting attempts to restore functionality with the latest beta or release versions, Console Launcher tells me, "There are no supported audio device available."

After seeing the success stories and active forums here, I decided to try the PAX drivers. Unfortunately, the latest PAX 3.0 suite does not resolve my issue. What else can I do?

    Thanks!

Re: New Pax Driver and Suite Discus Thread

    Thanks for the quick reply!

Of course! :) No doubt that would work. After all, it did the first time I installed Creative's suite and got better when I updated to beta apps.

Short of formatting, any other suggestions?

I know the drill with Creative's stubborn software and support; been dealing with them since 1990, but wouldn't have it any other way. I used to think my SB Live! was awesome until I met X-Fi and the Console Launcher.
(Then again, I thought my SB16's SCSI port and the WaveBlaster board was awesome, too; maybe it was the price for digging in a box of old NIC cards: free!)

I'm not keen on formatting or starting over. I've only had to do that once with XP in the last 10 years since my beta testing days. I just don't have time to rebuild. Had I taken an image of my flawless X-Fi setup, I wouldn't be here or trying your suite, which, by the way I love that it's a combined setup with a single reboot -- installs about 4x faster than Creative's bundle.

Anyway, several of the utility apps work and I can control mixer settings and some X-Fi enhancements, so all is not lost. However, Creative Diagnostics, Console Launcher and anything that potentially speaks EAX says, "Your X-Fi no goood!", and I don't believe a word of it!

I'm quite savvy, so take your time and if you think of anything or want me to experiment, I'm game and I won't hold you responsible if I corrupt my registry or system files. Fair? :)
