Re: New Pax Driver and Suite Discus Thread

Sorry, I may have misspoken. The errors are in V1.00, and earlier releases as well (mostly, DoInstall errors), but V1.00 is the first to have the problem where setup is launched multiple times.

It is worth mentioning that the drivers do work if you simply cancel the things that don't install properly, but I don't know if all the included software will function as intended if you do it that. You shouldn't have any audio glitches and all the control panels work fine, but more advanced stuff like Dolby Digital and so on might not.

Re: New Pax Driver and Suite Discus Thread

It might have had some errors... the previous series of your drivers had problems in some versions and not in others. I honestly don't remember if Final went 100% smoothly, but I'm pretty sure it was okay for the most part.

I sympathise. It must be a challenge to develop drivers for hardware you don't even own. :dead:

I have sent you a PM back. Maybe we can use teamviewer so you can actually see all the problems of the installation?

Re: New Pax Driver and Suite Discus Thread

for some reason, the new 2.00 driver is causing me extremely annoying problems. randomly while playing music, games or on video call in msn, the sound will just cut and only work from the rear left speaker (or sometimes center speaker) and other times it will just cut and only play through the front speakers and nothing plays from rear (it's just hiss sound from speaker when i put my head near it). the only thing that fixes it is switching it from 5.1 to 2.1 then back to 5.1. i have to do this multiple times per day and it will happen randomly again. this didn't happen on 1.00. any ideas or will it be fixed in 3.00? oh and i'm running W7 x64 using logitech x-540 on a PCI xtreme gamer

Re: PAX PCI XFI All-OS-Driver V3.00

I downloaded PAX PCIe Titanium ALL OS Driver V3.00.

I tried to install these drivers today (I own PCI-e Titanium Fatal1ty Pro, OS Win7x86). The drivers will start installation, but the part that say "Updating system files..." lasts for very short time. I am then offered a restart option and after a restart everything is same.

When I try installing drivers manually I select wdma_emu.inf from drivers subfolder and get message.
"The folder you specified does not contain a compatible driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with Windows 32-bit systems."

I hope I am not missing something obvious. I used uninstall of previous drivers under support folder, used Driver Sweeper, CCleaner, uninstalled HD Audio device driver from MS, rebooted, pulled the card out of system rebooted, installed those drivers few times.

Re: New Pax Driver and Suite Discus Thread

Has anyone tried the PAX Master V1.00 release yet? I'll give it a shot with my X-Fi Titanium if not. I'm steering clear of the DVD V3.00 release since it sounds like it still has issues.

EDIT: Okay, so PAX Master V1.00 does not work with my X-Fi Titanium. It simply acts as if the device is not detected, even after multiple reinstalls. Also, no drivers are included with PAX Master... so I have no idea what the point is at all considering that you still have to download the 800+ MB suite just to get them...

EDIT 2: Sorry, I didn't realise that the stand-alone driver was available with V3.00. However, the PCIe version of this driver does not install properly anyway, so it makes no difference. Going back to V2.00 despite its errors... heck I'm even tempted to try the official Creative stuff at this point. :(
