I have a problem installing this drivers (1.20) according to install guide...

Tried it on Win 7 64 bit + Creative X-Fi XtremeMusic... the above guide being nothing new to me, did same thing many times wile installing ATi Drivers.

    - all Windows was clean of Creative, both from Device Manager and from Driver Sweeper, the Reg was even cleaned manualy... I even have the Auto Driver Installer turned off.

    - clicked the "Setup" from "PAX PCI XFI Win7 Driver V1.20" folder - all seem to work fine, yet when getting to the part where doing the driver install finished it in 3 seconds (normally takes about 20 - 30 if not more) then asked me for Reboot (as if anything worked as it should) but after restart "surprise" no drivers installed...

This is what it installed in those 3 seconds:

They seem to install if "override" the official drivers (as in update) but - those that work? I mean, are the installation instructions faulty - and works as an update now?! :uhoh:

    ... please reply.

    Thanks in advance.

Yes I have sound, but "randomly" this drivers have "cracking pop problem" :( - didn't had this problem in the last 2 years, and back then was with another set of moded drivers. Guess it's back official form me... those also work pretty nice, but I said i'll this a try, just to see what's up with them, if they're any good or such...

Yes. But used official drivers for the last 2 years and no such problem, I was surprise to see this can still happen.

I have been using your drivers for awhile now with my X-Fi Fatality. Just registered here to say, v1.20 drivers are your best yet and sound f'ing amazing.

Re: New Pax Driver and Suite Discus Thread

I've been away for a while due to some stuff in my personal life; sorry for my sudden disappearance when I was helping you a month or two ago!

I just wanted to ask... in the 3.20 PCIe Titanium drivers, there is a new option in the Creative Audio Console called "Optimize speaker output for headphones" or similar. Any clue as to what this does? It seems as if I can no longer change my speaker output in the Creative panel independently of the Windows settings, either, meaning a change in one is reflected in the other, making using CMSS-3D in particular a bit difficult.

Otherwise, I think the 3.20 are your best-sounding drivers yet. Bass is punchy, but at the same time less muddy and boomy, and there's a good deal more detail in the low-end as a result. Sounds excellent on my Sennheiser HD 280 Pro headphones.

Re: New Pax Driver and Suite Discus Thread

Hmm, either way, I seem to be having trouble making my speaker settings stick. Either it keeps resetting everything to 5.1, or it switches to 2.1. I have to enable this "headphone optimised" mode every time I start my computer and make sure Windows is set to output in 5.1. Not a huge deal, bit still kind of annoying.
