PCI Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer, +20% was fine between 50 and 60% volume :taste:, Nearly perfect drivers then :D bass is spot on

Would it be possible for you to adjust treble output for the headphones aswell?, if you haven't done that already THANKS PAX! :D

Lastly, if i was to add the treble or bass myself, do you edit the wdma_emu.inf file and change each % treble line?

    Thanks Robert!

The old ones seem to be based on...
    XFRL_PCDRVBETA_US_3_00_0037

FYI, on February 11, Creative released final drivers...
    SBRL_PCDRV_LB_3_00_1004.exe

...for the Titanium HD. Again, if you need any help in testing for the HD, just let me know.

    Cheers!
    Dunc.

Ya you can change to your own liking in the inf. But you have reinstalled though each time to take effect.

Re: New Pax Driver and Suite Discus Thread

I installed the PAX 4.0 drivers last week for my xfi extrememusic card. I only use headphones w/mic plugged into the card, no speakers, and each time I start the PC Win7-64 detects the headset as speakers 2.1, which has different properties than headphones. When I check the "disable speakers when using headphones" box I will lose all sound after the next reboot. This problem occured with the factory drivers too.

Is there a way to force headphones only? I'm not sure if the new 4.05 addresses that or not.

Any chance for a work around?

Re: New Pax Driver and Suite Discus Thread

Yes, i cleaned out all drivers/software and installed PAX.0 and MS 2.0

Even though I go in and select headphones in settings, and output it always reverts back to 2.1 sound.

Re: New Pax Driver and Suite Discus Thread

This is a new build in December and very little other than the OS.

My previous PC used this xfi card and a 5.1 speaker with headphone plugged into the speakers everything worked well and it always kept the headphones settings. I never used the speakers so I removed them and plugged in the headphones/mic only.

The problem with that system and this (using same card) is the software always thinks the headphones are 2.1 speakers not headphones. No matter how often I change the setting or sound output selection in any or all three different consoles it always reverts bak to the 2.1 sound when I reboot.
The on-board realteck sound has been disabled in BIOS.

    system spec's added

That strange. You know I think you can hook up music card to I/O Drive bay that might solve your issue. I used Drive for my headphones I like them 7.1 mode :p. Is your card still warranty?

No warranty, I bought it back when the ExtremeMusic PCI cards first came out.

Maybe I'll get a cheap pair of 2.1's and plug into them. I'll look into the front panel too.

4.00 Lower Treble and Voice Vocal by 5% down
4.05 Lower Treble and Voice Vocal and Bass by 20% down.

Why are you lowering these? We have many options to change this values. Except these does 4.05 have any sound improvements?

Yup. Less static :). Give set a try you can change them if you think it's to low for your speakers and raise them up. Make sure you save the inf and uninstalled old and reinstalled again to take effect.

Re: New Pax Driver and Suite Discus Thread

Wow! I just want to say a big thanks to you for your hard work, and these great drivers!

I have no idea what you did to them, or how, but holy cr*p, my Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro (80 ohm @ X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Pro Series) have never sounded better! The depth of the sound and bass is simply amazing!

For those interested, running with the following settings:

    Speakers: Headphones
    EAX: Off
    CMSS-3D: Off
    Crystalizer: 85%
    SVM: Off
    EQ: Off

    Bass: 75%
    Treble: 65%

God... It now sucks even more when I have to use in-ear phones when outside / on the move... :'(

    Thanks again! :D

Re: New Pax Driver and Suite Discus Thread

Did you rename the two or three files in program folder? That would make it work please check the readme how to do it.
    THXConsl > SpkConsl
    THXConsl.bff > SpkConsl.bff
THXConsl > SpkConsl of Cerificate Revocation List you need rename that to that should make it work.

Re: New Pax Driver and Suite Discus Thread

    Hi,
thanks for the fast reply !
But this is not what i mean, thx console is starting well.
The parameters of distance has not enough meters ;-).
I use the PAX PCI XFI PAX Audio Suite DVD 2010 V2.00
This is a fine driver, of course!
I hope my screenshot can explain the problem :
Kostenloser Bilder Upload Service - Gratis Bilder hochladen / uploaden ohne Anmeldung

I need more than 2.4 meters in this mask setting.
Four meters and more would be good ;-)
I thing it is only a "ini-file" that must be changed to unleashed......
    Thanks :)
