we've seen that already when 5xxx was out. Btw , just like Dx10 did , alot of demonstration of nice stuff theoretically while most of DX10/DX11 games aren't much better than DX9 .

Hopefully Nvidia includes these samples in the SDK so we see it immediately implemented in upcoming games instead of waiting for developers to learn the tricks on their own.

I hate you for bringing out the ugly truth lol. But everything in that statement is unfortunately valid.

    More deceit from Nvidia.

Tessellation is probably the only thing, expect some few GPGPU features, that will make their overheating GF100 vaporware crap look good compared to ATI 5000 series.

So they obviously try to conceal the fact their product suck when looking at overall performance and instead lure you to focus on 1 or 2 things that perform somewhat above par but are insignificant and irrelevant when taken out of the context of real life applications and games.

All this is very sad because the GPU market need good competition to push innovation up and prices down. I would have liked a GF100 that actually beat ATI offering with a conformable margin.

Even if no official GF100 benchmark are out yet, if you look around hard enough, you already know what will happen on the 26. No real availability for months, huge power draw, a lot of heat and below or barely on par with ATI top gun gaming performance.

Nvidia will need a new GTX485 faster than they can say "ATI is coming with a refresh soon". Recently released monsters such as the Asus 5970 Ares and XFX 5970 black edition will enable ATI to either dominate the GF100 at launch or at least be within striking distance with a simple refresh to take the crown back within a fews weeks. That is, IF they loose it.
