Nvidia has been selling it's 15 SMX, 2880-core, 384-bit, monster-Kepler chip, GK110, into the enterprise market for some time now, but it was always uncertain whether the chip would ever make it to the Geforce line - until now, that is. However, rather than the obvious GTX780 name, Nvidia has decided to go for something a little extra. Not even 780Ti or 780 Ultra, but "Geforce Titan". Partners are expectign similar strict controls to those that game with the 690 (no custom cards), for a partially disabled (2688-core) variant which, in a worst case scenario, should pack 85% of the performance of a GTX690. The card is expected to land in the early part of this year, with 6GB of GDDR5 VRAM and an 899USD price-tag.
