Nvidia Omega Drivers 1.4403 for Win2k/XP

    Sorry for the delay, I have been very busy...

    Here is the new stuff:
    * Based on the Official 44.03 drivers. (9x/Me/2k/XP)
    * Added remaining language files (international support). (9x/Me/2k/XP)
    * Because of the added language files, the size of the driver package has increased, sorry. (9x/Me/2k/XP)
    * Added support for Quadro FX 500 and GF FX 5900. (9x/Me/2k/XP)
    * Removed W-Buffer support. Games that use it will revert to Z-Buffer when "W" is not found, so don't worry. (9x/Me/2k/XP)

    Get them here.

    Update:
    * Important: Due to a seriuos problem I had with these drivers, they will
    work in "Performance" mode only, even if you select "Quality" during
    installation, they will be updated as soon as I can fix it.

    but can u explain us what is exactly that w-buffer support that u removed from the drivers???

    W-Buffer is an alternate Z-Buffer method used for quality precision, is slower than Z-buffer and the scene has to be sorted out in a specific order to be able to use it, and not many games use it, so by removing support I'm telling those games that use the standard Z-Buffer instead of W, then you'll get better FPS in games (and the visual quality difference is almost non-existant).
    I removed W support from the ATI drivers along time ago, but I forgot to remove it from the nvidia drivers until now (I was reviewing all my tweaks again).

    The installer for these drivers keep asking for disk #2. Whats up with that? I cant get them to install:sigh:

    Thenks man. When I see New drivers I go runnin for em. No time to keep reading. Aspecially after the last two weeks of nvidia drivers.

    i cant get them to work on xp sp1 :( after rebooting the system just reverts to the default microsoft drivers...

    same problem here, i run winxp pro sp1 and after install, in device manager, my video card gets a yellow exclamation mark with this message 'Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)'

    i had the same thing with 43.51 omegas.keep current 44.03 drivers installed then install omegas.there is no need to uninstall current drivers thats the advice i had from chaos

    Same problem for me, tried 3 diff times of installing and 3 diff sets of drivers installed upon updating to omega.

    As I said in the main page, the XP drivers where not tested, I just updated the DLLs and used previous settings, I'll have to prepare and XP PC here with a GeForce card just to test it.

    In the mean time I'll have to remove the XP links, sorry.

    just thought id let u all know my error.............

    win 2k, dx9, sp4, gf4 ti4200

    boot up..blue screen with \systemroot\system32\drivers\nv4_mini.sys device driver could not be loaded....... blah blah blah


    i grabbed these drivers a couple of hours ago, but i see the omega site still has the links to these drivers posted !!! :mad:

    Discovered the error, the optimizations I made to 2 DLLs are not accepted by Windows, if I use the original DLLs they work perfectly, but the speed boost is not added.
    I'll try to fix it as soon as possible, check back in three hours...

    To all Down loaders if you get a message saying disk two (2) or what ever check your file size I bet it want be the same as the download file states.
    BTW why is the download so slow,I only get between 4 and 6 kb,s a second.I would be glad to donate if I was assured a faster download :)
    .BTW you keep a very tidey web page.

    i tried to download several times....... resulting in slow and broken files

    i reinstalled 'flashget' on my pc and vroooooooooom.... it segments the download in the same way getright does, but i find it much much better ;)

    Flashget is very good download manager, but they dont make it anymore :(

    With useing cable (not dialup)I don't think you need the a download manager just to download 15 megs.Hell I download over 300 megs with out problems so why is it such a big deal here!!!.I know bandwidth cost,hell I pay 79 dollars a year for file planet because I hate to wait in line,so if you got afew bucks pay and maybe we can get the transfer faster.
    Here is and Idear 3 bucks a month for membership dues for downloads only.
    Who said life was easy.It,s a bit¿¿,but got to live with it.
