Regarding the system shown by AMDProud above...
Correct me if I'm wrong but the case would benefit more from fans being placed differently. By the looks of it, the fan at the back of the case is an exhaust and the fan at the top of the case is an intake. With the airflow directions, the fans from the graphics card are pushing air up then there's just the fan at the back of the case expelling air.
By the looks of it there is a fan at the front of the case for the air intake. So, wouldn't it be more beneficial for the system if the front fan was left as the intake and the other two fans being placed at the top as exhaust?
The way I see it, the fan at the top of the case wouldn't be performing as well as it could do on the basis that some of the air would be sucked back out straight away by the fan at the back. Of course, I'm basing this solely on the fact that I don't know whether there is a fan on the side of the case. If there is then I would say - again, correct me if I'm wrong - that it would be beneficial for it to be an additional intake fan and rely on the top two fans (and the fact that heat rises) to expel the heat in the case.

What do you guys think? I'm no expert on airflow, I'm just giving my thoughts.

currently its not finished the fan ontop is working as an intake as the case front fan does not give out a high cfm looks cool but is bloody useless.

i have 3 more fans going in the cooler master sickleflow fans, one at bottom intake, one at front with higher cfm intake, one ontop in the spare space exhaust, and one at the back exhaust the furtherest top slot will be getting a corsair h80 installed there as heat rises its the best place to put it from experience.

on standard fans horrid i have had to leave the side panel of at the moment and change the fan configuration as the standard fans all have poor cfm and very low rpm, there silent but not efficent

Putting an intake right next to an exhaust is never a good idea. The fans just feed each other so any airflow across the middle of the case is lost.

i know that thats why he top one was moved but cant have 2 exhaust with poor airflow from front, cooler master sure do build good cases but supply the worst std fans.

Yeah, seen the CFM aspect overlooked qiute a few times in days past. Being a retail intended Rig, I guess your modding options are very limited.

Perfect for my needs, and much more elegant than the Alienware it replaced. :)

    Needs more fans :hmm:

Seriously though I love that Cosmos case. I like my Mystique for the minimal design but it's internal layout is not great.
