I bet he has it volt modded. 400 on the GPU is next to impossible without extra voltage.
generally yes it is but an interesting fact is my friend bought one of the hercules 9700 boards and his hits 400 core out of the box, 360 ram..........
Not too shabby.
What are the words I'm looking for? Oh yeah, HOLY FOCK!
Schweet rig dude, seriously sweet!
My retail 9700 Pro does 390 core with the retail hsf. Not too shabby.
3757 im happy with that
System runs as standard, no tweaks or oc'ing!!
Big improvement on my gfx card though... elevated from a gforce3 Ti200 to my newly acquired
DH Competition Prize ATi Sapphire 9500 Pro
3DMark03 actually crashed out on the first test when i tried to run it with me gforce3 plugged in
hmm XP1600+ @XP2100+ speeds, 9700Pro
i feel winpy with my score of 1066... well when i get a new vid card i will get a better score. i want to get the Radeon 9800 PRO when it comes out... better start saving
Hmmmm..... $350+ for the 9800pro.....9900pro 400+$......9700pro 272$...... I don't see the point in buying a card when it comes out.
when the 9700pro hits lower than$240 it will be hard not to buy one. I can't wait to get one.
I'm getting one with my Circuit City credit on my MD player. It's borked. They are fixing it. After I break it again they will give me about $300 in credit. 9700Pro here I come!
I didn't think you could EVER get credit at circuit city, I thought they always just gave you a replacement no matter what, like at BestBuy and places like that with crappy return policies.
Dude, I used to work customer service there for over 6 months. This is the second MD player that I intentionally screwed up to get credit. I got it covered
edit: This is on the extended service plan that I have on the player. I had three years, it ends in April
"MR. WAIT to BUY ANYTHING" over here....
what makes you want to get a 9700 over your 4200 now? ...
Im stickin with my 4200 until I get a new M-board and memory.... a DX9 card will come when there are games out for it....
Why do I want a new one? I can't overclock the core as high as I used to be able to (i lost at least 8mhz in ability (even with an extra 80mm fan blowing directly on the heatsink)). And I swapping monitors with my mother so I can go up to 1600x1200 (can only do 1280x1024 now) with hella eye candy. The reason I'm getting the credit is cuz I might as well. I never use the MD player anymore. It's just free money. There's nothing I need from Circuit City. So I figured I might as well pick up the 9700Pro.
I just broke 6000 with the 9800 pro at 430 core and 380/760 ram....... wont let me upload the score yet.... :tears:
Wow, over 6000 points. There must be more to these 9800's than I expected. Very nice score there Z
its an amazing card, the R350 core is so overclockable.... exceptional piece of hardware.
and whats even more impressive is the fact is im running my locked 2600XP+ at stock FSB !
Nice overclock. I'm impressed that they're getting almost FX Ultra core speeds out of this thing without a dustbuster and .13 process. And I thought 390 on my 9700 Pro was good.
That's insane. But I do want my next card to have 256mb if possible, so I'm gonna wait 'till april fot the new 9800's and hopefully they'll be even more OC'able by then. Thanks for sharing that incredible score, although it did push the upgrade poison deeper into my bloodstream
