I'm doing the River Raids with Vahn's crew. Currently tracking down St. George's armor.

I'm still working on tracking down the armor of St. George. I'm on the third river, Dee, now.

I know I'm not playing the game as it was designed to be played. I don't lose any of my shipmates....ever. Because.... I go in alone to every camp, fort, and farmhouse, and stealthily take out everyone who's a threat. I only call the ship when I need help opening doors or chests.

But, one thing that the designers overlooked....obviously... is this: There is NEVER any guard at the landing dock. Nor are there ever any scouts out in the surrounding areas on the lookout for anyone like myself sneaking around and presenting a threat. I know if I were in charge of any of these forts, I'd have scouts scattered out hiding in the trees, shrubs, wherever, watching for anyone that could pose a threat.

As it is, I can sneak my way right up to the perimeter, find a place to make my entrance and slowly eliminate any opposition.

I play the exact same way and like you I wondered why the Docks were always so quiet. Still a huge amount of fun though.,

Got all of St. George's Armor...and the Great Sword.

With my Eivor at 384 level, and a few comrades getting in on the act, that "boss" was more of a "sissy". He was NOT worthy. :)

With the complete set of St. George's armor and Sword, I've embarked on a quest to fully upgrade the entire set.

Running low on elements needed to do so.

Take it your gearing up and levelling up to be ready fro Ragnarok. Very much looking forward to that.

Been playing Watchdog Legions and quite enjoying that as well it has a very nice Assassins Creed tie in with a section set in a London Tomb

Just realised that the Dawn Of Ragnarok expansion is not part of the season Pass so It seems I will be giving that a pass.

Somewhat related in a round-about way, but, as I have Amazon Prime Video with my phone subscription, I thought I would check out "The Vikings". I'm WAY late to the game as I simply don't watch much video ... not even that much YouTube...for several years now. The most I do watch is when we go to the movie theater. I have to ask myself why I even pay for Hulu anymore? But, we do go to the theater enough to justify the AMC Stubs membership. Even two movies a month more than covers the cost.

All that aside, I watched the first episode of the first season and, maybe, it will compel me to take in some more. I'm bringing this up to see if anyone here has watched any of this series and, does it adhere well to the Viking 'lore' we're all familiar with?

We have watched it here and the Mystical happenings of the first episode kind of take a back seat by about 3 episodes in and its much more earthly set, the first 4 seasons tell a really compelling story and the last 2 while not the same are still 80% riveting

there is a lot of historical happenings and there was a lot of lore that I recognised from the AC games its well worth the watch

If you can make it to episode 3 you will either be hooked or you wont

We are currently watching the Valhalla series set 150 years later and thats also pretty great

My Eivor is now at level 407.

This evening, I went after the Defender of England. She (I didn't know it was "she" until she appeared) was hunkered down in the Northern Monastery on River Severn. In order to make sure she didn't call on any of the other guards, I spent time taking out any of them I could find....ALL of them.

However, when it came time to confront her, she showed up with two gigantic bodyguards. And, the battle was on!

I quickly knocked her out of competition! Those bodyguards were very tough. They even used some kind of smoke bombs ... or something ... that created a haze that made them a challenge to target. Thankfully, I had buffed up on meals and only lost 4 of 6 amounts of healing needed to stay in the battle.

And, yes, I was the victor! For my efforts I regained a lost Dane axe.
