Have fun Cal, but I think the Sims 4 has been severely crippled.

That's weird! Is there any official explanation for the regression?

I haven't seen anything official, but some things are said to be impossible with the engine they're using. I reckon other things will be brought out as DLC at a later stage.

Not that I was waiting specifically for this one, but I've noticed a number of big titles lately coming out that I had not expected just yet. I'm taking it as a sign that I've been working too much. ;)
But I have heard of Sims 2/3 players being surprisingly uninterested in Sims 4, asking me to try to get Sims 2 running under Windows 8 for instance. One said the art direction was not to their liking, but I guess it could also be that if you have one of the games stocked literally a dozen DLC's then there's so much in there that you would miss having in a new game.

true, but if you look at the list there are some basics in there, that are now missing from #4.
I will probably check it out to see the new, revamped emotion system... but it seems rather bare boned.

I can tell you right now what it is; EA's business model.

Cripple the shit out of it,
Release it all individually as DLC's for £5 each, MO MONEH!
I believe Pools were already confirmed as a DLC somewhere can't remember

So I played a little of The Sims 4 and I quite like it. It may not have some of the things that the others had but it brings a lot of new stuff to the table. Fun fun fun. :)

My sims are already married, wow this game moves so fast, I've only been playing for two days!

Now since my two sims are both the same sex (they're both girls, I don't know one just took a liking to the other one and the other one relented and before I knew it they were blowing kisses at each other, ok, fine I lie I kinda "helped" it along a little :D ) they have the option to adopt. But I'm not ready for kids yet, I'll wait until they're adults, they're still young adults right now.

One of my sims is making really good ground at her job, she's already been promoted twice, the other I kind of slacked off doing the objectives for her to be promoted but she's in line to be promoted now as her work performance is really good so here we go!
