simple it a "pay browser" VS everyone elses are "free" ones....
that what they do that how they make thier money so to survive
it has to be good. Especailly if you expect people to fork out money
for it in a market full of free browsers....
or use the free versin and deal with ads...
I think opera is the best out there. Used to be a FF fan, but i can't stand resent builds and problems I was having at high resolutions. I never liked tabs in browsers until I used opera, now I have trouble without them. I don't really know how to say it, but opera seems to be so... organized. The layout, access to the features, everything seems to jive well and you can customize it quite easily. It is heads and tails better than FF and IE. As far as the adds go, I don't notice them at all. Some day I will probably but the thing, but not right now. I don't use the mouse gestures, just so accustomed to the buttons i guess i never got into them.
Over all... the browsers seems to have less annoyances to it, period. Standards support is the best and the rendering speed is noticibly better then the others. Give it a shot if you haven't yet.
Well said, I totally agree. You pay for opera if you want the "full" experience, but its worth every penny IMO. Its also by far the most secure.
Treego, two out of 3 of those sites are Opera's site, so of course you're going to find people telling you to use Opera.. but in the end it's all a mater of preference. Personally, I love the cute little fox
Opera lacks on AdBlocking software, wel there is some but no where near as good as AdBlock for FireFox.
If there was a good adblocking extention fro Opera i'd be using it now.
Well I have installed and registered it. I am liking it, using this theme called meGuido too
I use that skin too, im sure it's spelt with a double D though
I've been using Opera since the early versions, the mobile/pocket versions of Opera take the crown aswell.
Im curious as to what mouse gestures some of you actually use?
I'm using it now, different........gonna go and play with it and suss it out !
So I have been playing with Opera for a few hours and I have found that it raised my CPU temps by 9oC. What's that all about?
I'd say you were needing an early night. Maybe you had the heater on in your room?
Back, Foward, New Page, Scroll.
blah I might give try my ZASS can block those adds if wanted too
I too am having increased heat readings. I just checked and with Opera running my CPU usage jumped to 50 percent usage! Dropped back to no usage when I shut Opera down. WTF??. Thought I was gonna buy it but don't think so now.
Edit: Seems the more TABS you have open the usage jumps to almost 50 percent!
Edit: Maybe I've been a bit unfair as now even with MusicMatch and Opera on and running 15 open Tabs, system usage (according to the task manager) is running in the 15 percent range. Maybe I was a bit hasty in my condemnation. :hmm:
That's the same troubles I was having , when I surfed with "IE" everything whent back to normal.............Strange !
some of the high CPU usage will be occurred while you startup a new program and/or during page loading, the AV program is detecting the http communication or scan on the webpage contain, etc. but once the page loading is done the CPU usage scale should go back to normal.
two windows of the Opera with a lot of opened tabs...
three differents web browser programs...
Opera is not supposed to use 50% all the time i'm not sure what should i suggest you to look for...
anyway, you might want to check the programs running behind the scenes on your computer.
as you see in this below pic, 50% usage will only occur at the time or during the startup of a new program then go back to normal use.
One of the few times I will say this when talking about Attro's Views.
I personaly dislike someone who is so into a single brand, software, or what ever else that not only will they not try something else but they try to put everyone else down because they think they are so high and mighty for discovering such software. You know, if it works, keeps the annoying level down to a minimum and works the way I want it to for less money then I'll just buy what works.
Also have a Camaro that spends some time in my driveway, but when its not. OOOOOO yeah its racing those suicidal soccer moms in gigantor SUV's from one green light to the next red.
Ok for all the retards here that need ad block, did you know that those hosts files w/ ad blocking do the exact same thing.
If your still not smart enough to figure out where to put those, just get peerguardian w/ the ad blocking stuff and ur set.
Thats exactly what I'm talking about.
Or... protowall which is infact way better.
