Yes, Thanks to Robert!!!!!!!!
I have a problem after uninstalling previous version of your drivers and installed this one. It's simple - I have no 5.1 sound. Whatever i will configure i have stereo and subwoofer. Can you help me?
it sounds like cleaning up old driver and soft was not fully successful
to be sure ... - was your workaround similar to the following ? :
uninstall all creative software
uninstall the creative driver in device manager (set delete driver files option)
goto registry delete creative entries in:
(if you run 64bit OS)
Program Files (x86) & Program Files (x86)\Common Files\...
& Program Files & Program Files\Common Files\...
& ProgramData\... (Users\All Users\...)
and delete all creative folders
and delete all creative folders
Windows\System32\... & Windows\SysWOW64\...
and delete "Data" folder
and delete the ".ini" files
(you can find the name of the ini-files in the
PAX driver package in path "Drivers\wdm\common\..."
run Treexy's Driver Fusion and choose the creative drivers
start Piriform's CCleaner and run the registry cleaner section
(be careful - select only the creative related entries - leave
all other entries untouched)
run it twice and on second run (as above) do not delete the non CT entries
do it with admin rights
reboot when necessary
if this is not working, try resetting your card/jacks.
(sometimes - i don't know why - this is necessary and works on some rare conditions)
clean all up and shut down pc, then pull out the card and start pc again,
shut pc down again and put in the card and jacks - thats it.
What more can you do with the drivers? Have you reach all goals, or can we expert an update in the future?
I made every step until now. I have to delete all ini files in System32. There are two locations of each ini file; System 32 and System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\wdma_emu.inf_amd64_neutral_9412a2f983bfffba\Common\ and here there are not only ini files but whole content of PAX downloaded pack\Drivers\wdm\common\
Those files require permission from SYSTEM to remove, but I know how to bypass it. But am I supposed to delete whole content there?
maybe this links can help you to understand how it works ...
this are eventually also useful:
you must do it as ADMINISTRATOR
another useful tip is:
disable the driver-signing-check (search the web how to do it)
OK I seriously have problems to take control of "wdma_emu.inf_amd64_neutral_9412a2f983bfffba" folder so i can't delete all Creative driver files I'm afraid. It's to hard for me
maybe you should ask Robert if he is able to assist you live via SKYPE,
or ask some local geek or one of your friend ?
Well, finally I didn't delete those files. I did every single step beside this one completely. I also changed PCI slot so my card is now in the second one. I installed drivers again and for now it seems to work good. Big thanks for your advices FlashX.
Thank you Robert for this new version of driver
BUT,i have one problem with this driver as well as with everyone after 1.05 2013 version.
Windows volume is always going back to 91,no matter if i set it to 90,if i put computer to sleep and wake it up volume is at 91.
If i set i to 90 and restart computer volume is set to 91 after reboot.
And if i set volume to any other percent its increased by 2 after reboot(if i set volume 86 its 88 after reboot)
Is there any way to fix that?
Its not a big deal but i have some kind of light OCD and thats why i am still at 1.05 2013 version.
EDIT: I have Windows 8.1 x64 and tried every driver on clean installation and every driver after 1.05 2013 version have that issue.
My card is X-Fi XtremeGamer.
New one be out soon with updated tweaks.
Can we just replace old tweaks ini files with new ones?I have 1.35 version installed now,i accepted 91% volume bug
