Yea, sure! Now i formatted my computer, and now the board is no longer identified ...

I've tried several different drivers, but the board can not be identified as creative ...

Hi, and thanks for these drivers.

This isn't an bug report issue, but more of a feature request. I'll try to keep this short (and will probably fail), but here's where I'm coming from...

I bought a Titanium HD primarily for good-quality sound (headphones only) while gaming, both in terms of fidelity and postional audio. I remember A3D and CMSS-3D with OpenAL or D3D and know how good positional audio can be when done right. My understanding is that many modern games will do positional audio in software outputting a stereo signal, but many will use Xaudio to output stereo, 2.1, 5.1, 7.1 directly (rather pass on the precise positional component directly through the D3D/OpenAL APIs). Any HRTF implementation (e.g. CMSS-3D headphone or Dolby Headphone etc) will use this output from Xaudio to attempt to create a virtual soundspace.

My issue is that the Titanium HD is primarily a headphone card, and in terms of multi-channel audio can only output at most 5.1 channels (via SP/DIF), the windows driver is restricted to 5.1, even when using CMSS-3D headphone. Essentially, I'd like to configure windows (and hence Xaudio) to 7.1 (so that any Xaudio games will, in theory, send more information to the Creative driver so that more accurate CMSS-3D downmixing can be produced.

Would it be possible to enable 7.1 as a speaker configuration option? I'd imagine it's just a software configuration restriction, whereby the use-case described above has been overlooked.

See the following Creative article for reference: support.creative.com/kb/ShowArticle.aspx?sid=96663

    Thanks again,
    Kio.

I try to use the creative identify tooll too, but also can't identify the board... already try to change the socket too.. The board was identify by the windows as "Hight Definition Audio Device"..

That board has +- 7 years....Also I'm buyng a Titanium HD version..did you recomend this soundcard?

Why is there a 7.1, and 4.1 surroundsound.ini when you're locked to 5.1 and 2/2.1 in the audio control panel and Windows speaker configuration? I had this problem with v1.00 as well. In addition, I seem to have the same problem that Kio has.

The driver hasn't been installing since 1.00 for me. Also, for the 1.05 set, Volume Panel fails to install (there's no prompt for it).

I have to install the sets in this order for everything to work:
    1.05,
    1.00 for Volume Panel,
    2.50 for the driver

I've done everything I can to clean my system before installation (uninstall driver via Device Manager, then Driver Fusion, CCleaner, Advanced SystemCare Ultimate, etc. etc.).

One last thing, for Audio Creation Mode in 1.05, the rear right channel is subdued in volume. To be specific, every other channel seems to get a boost. This doesn't happen in other modes.

Could you look into these issues whenever you get the chance? I really appreciate the work, so please keep it up.
