I saw the midnight showing and waiting outside for 5 hrs playin spades with my bud. All I can say is the movie is not worth the money because of the ending. One of the worst endings in a movie ever imo
Well it pretty much is half a story and they just cut it off. I left the theatre pissed as hell because I had to pay 10.50 for my ticket. It didn't really end actually. I would have no problem if it actually ended then hinted of the next movie.
Yeah, wide open for the next installment. The movie is way silly though, fun but just daft in some parts. It's alright but the first one's better. I read a review in the 'paper today that tore into it and gave it no chance - it's not that bad.
I just saw 10 am show thought it was pretty good. I did like the ending already knew the third one is coming out next year so was not dissapointed. Still it won't beat the first one but compared to other movies that make sequels. That usually suck this one was not bad.
My son and I went last night to see it. He'd already seen it once and wanted to see it again with me. I quite enjoyed it and am looking forward to what they do in the next installment. I don't quite understand the fuss about the ending of this one. It simply sets the stage for what's to come. But, I won't be sitting on pins and needles in the meantime. I do agree, though, that the first one was a bit better. My daughter-in-law made these comments: 1. It's sometimes too silly -- geared to the 12-year old viewers; 2. Jack Sparrow is too much of a villain/scoundrel in this one compared to the first.
Yea these kind of movies are for teenagers and pre-teenagers mostly The Scenario is made for kids Nothing to do with some old classic pirate type of movies unfortunately
Just came back from the premiere here in Denmark, got tickes through online booking, so no waiting outside Well the ending might be a bit tame and the story not really that interesting (guess part 3 has deal with that), but it's great action and the actors play their roles really well and it's not to long or to short. I liked it, it's not the best movie I've seen, but it's a 5/6, where the first one was a 6/6
i saw it on sunday night. i thought the movie itself was really good, but the way it ended could have been better. i'm not crying like a biatch like SOFOSKSOKSOFOS is doing
defies physics at time [the sword fight in the waterwheel], and has a very open ended [but I thought cool and well thought out, actually] ending. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and while it isn't perhaps as good as the first, it was as close as I had hoped it would be. Also note: it broke opening day, and opening weekend sales records...ousting reigning champ spiderman....now THAT movie sucked out loud
well... i guess it should be aimed at the 12-year old crowd, cos johnny depp dedicated these 'pirate' movies to his daughter. (i read somewhere in an interview)
Oh my, sounds like the movie was really good... ehhhh... I will wait till it comes out in DVD and buy my own.....
I still fill like I wasted my money cause I was pretty pumped to see it. I was even dressed as a pirate and smoking a cigar in the theatre
lol, it was great. Considering its illegal to smoke inside any building in california  also everytime a person would enter the entire crowd would roar at them. Then there was a period where people were just calling out random names. Man that was crazy.
that's Cali for ya.....dunno, didn't buy the whole davy jones has an octopus face which my big brother nicknamed pu$$y face. Something about that just doesn't scare me........unless he had crabs. hahah
