Just ran 3Dmark05 just now. First time in a long time w/newer drivers. got my best ever score yet .
What Drivers are those CDsDontBurn?
The 72.10s are pretty solid. Even faster than the 66.70s. I got a 6137
score is 5905
I am using Urian drivers as at stock speeds both Omega and Cat 4.10 through 4.12 cuase my system to random reboot and also blanks my monitor out at random causing me to hit reset.
AMD 64 3500+ New Castle. Stock
super talent PC3200 1 gig Stock
Super X-ALien case with 500 watt psu
Saphire x800 pro clocked at 606 gpu and 564 mem. not soft or hard modded
I'm using the 71.20s.
MiDKnYtE, what's your system specs? What kind of 6800GT do you have? Those speeds your GT reaches totally blows my GT away !
oh yea.....i did some more benchinng earlier today at work (took my system in). Got my newest all time high score. I wasn't able to publish it cuz i didn't have an internet connection that worked at work, so a screen shot did me nicely i guess .
I have a PNY 6800GT with an eVGA copper heatsink. I voltmodded the bios to 1.4v using nibitor 1.9. I also have an Antec cyclone fan on the back side of the card. At stock voltage, I get around 427 core.
As pictured I have a 3.2C running at 237 FSB with PNY PC4000 ram.
i might get me a VGA silencer for X-mas. I'm wondering how much better my card will overclock once i have that installed. I don't think i have the gutz to volt mod my card tho .
Dont think you will see to much difference there buddy, you allready have it at 420 and 1.17.
From what I've seen, the NV5 Silencer should give you as much cooling as the stock Ultra heatsink. Your overall system temp will be better too. Here are some reviews:
The eVGA copper heatsink sure makes a difference though with some AS5. My card absolutely hates voltmodding though for some reason I get LOWER overclocks when I try it....
That's pretty strange. Sounds like it is overheating. Only go up to 1.4v max (stock ultra voltage). 1.5v seems to do more harm than good.
Forgot to mention that i'm running AS5 on the core too.
I was having difficulty finishing my benchmarks at those clock speeds (426/1.17). I'm sure that a VGA silencer will let me complete the benchmarks no prob at those specs, and then some.
4276/1.17!!!!!!! Damn, thats a SWEET core oc!!!
or a typo
I'm HOPEFULLY installing the silencer on my card this weekend....I doubt it will help (I have a fancard and a 120mm side fan blowing on the card already), but I already bought it...so......
typo.....i fixed it already
Do you mean the 71.20's? Just curious if I missed some somewhere.
oops yeah. typo.
Sweet, I'm going to try those out tonight. I have been using the 66.93's since I got my card.
the 71.20s give you a significant margin on performance over the 66.93s. You'll be happy .
