i need better cooling tho. I wanna be able to finish a benchmark at 4Ghz and at 420/1.15 .

Yeah! You 're right
i managed to get my card stable enought to run one set, i got 1500 points using 200/249MHz on my radeon9500pro, i have no idea how good could it be on normal conditions im guessing 2000 points? :-I
its not fun, slide show doesnt lemme see the test completely
3DMark05 score is in my sig below. unfortunately my system as a whole is bottlenecking this card, but i won't upgrade till i can warrant spending money on a 64bit solution.
Yea you'd be getting just under 2K. I get 2K with my 9500 Pro @ 330\310.
You're 9500 Pro is broken? Waiting on the X700 eh?
I sent you a PM about your sig yesterday- it's too big.
indeed i am, thats why i was asking so bad ati to release AGP x700cards lol
yeah, its broken, completely unstable, sometimes not even the windows desktop runs correctly, sometimes completely screwed up i i need to use my memory to know how to download thinks lol
this is actually the first time in like 2 months that i can see some 3d lol
edit: ohh yeah just tried again at normal 9500pro clocks (276/270) and i got 1735 points, so yeah, overclocking my system (i have it actually running stock since it isnt worth overclocking if i can't game lol) and the card i should be able to pass the 2k, that seems like low points actually, but ohhh well its a mainstream 2 year old card after all
what cpu scores is everyone getting?
Hopefully ATi will be able to hook us all up and get the X700 in an AGP flavor out there. That's what I'm looking at upgrading too... if not then there's always the 9800 Pro.
In any event for your problem you can get a PCI slot fan for that video card and see if it helps the problem. Vantec sells one called the Spectrum for about $20. I have one in my machine and it's great.
Here are my scores
they do seem a bit low....
don't you think
Your CPU score seems to be way of. My thoroughbred B at 11x200 gets a score that's more than 2 as much: 3329 compared to your 1571.
i don't know shinji...
wouldn't you rather prefer to FINALLY own a card with a 256bit memory bus???
that's one point where the 9800 pro looks more appealing then a X700...
i'm also still on my 9500 Pro 128mb...i had a sapphire 9800 pro atlantis for a while untill it gave up on me for no reason :annoyed: :x
lucky my old & thrustworthy 9500 Pro was still laying around somewhere :duh:
wow, i would have given up a 9500pro over a 9800pro any day. but at least you still have a pretty good card in your hands.
that's what i did!!
& look what it brought me up so far....one fubared 9800 Pro :annoyed: :x
next purchase will have to wait untill the R480 line comes out...
Why not RMA?
well....to be honest...the reseller is not too happy when it comes to RMA's
maybe i should RMA it straight to Sapphire??
