I would post pics of my new PC (well 3 months now i think..) but until it fixed to me its *f_word* crap.
Nice desks! I think I new table. Mine is so messy right now it looks like Guernica. Plus the layout of this ikea table is messed up since the seating is on the left instead of the right. I have found that the best viewing angle for my stupid monitor is the top is aligned with my neck which is weird (I see the least backlight bleeding this way) so either I have to buy a higher chair or get a new desk (or maybe stop slumping and actually sit straight, but then again who does that? lol)
too many? It's convenient to have everything at your finger tips but with my next install, which will be very soon, i will probably forgo the wall of icons and have an empty desktop with only some in the taskbar. Everything else will be accessed through the start menu or games explorer.
This (monitors) is what I want to do some time this year. Use my current 24" at 90 degrees while a new smaller perhaps monitor as the main one. How does it work for you?
I love it. Up until now i would just look over to the right and start clicking away, launching whatever i need, like a vending machine for apps. So all the AAA titles would load up on the main. Browsers, office, photoshop, vegas, nero, etc... and smaller things like the download windows, msn, monitoring programs, task manager, would be delegated to the 2nd monitor. I also have explorer on #2, i can have a live updated view of files/thumbnails that are created as i use an app on the main. I also have media center on the 2nd so i can watch TV and have an uninterrupted maximized program on the 1st. Even though i have a 56" TV right after the 2nd monitor, it's easier to move your eyes than your whole head. When gaming i can see the clock gadget, small things like that also make it a blast to use. And have you ever browsed on a 24" in portrait? Too bad i didn't snapshot Opera when i had it's speed dial with, i forgot how many... 24?, thumbnailed websites all in full view. I'm just wondering if i wasn't low on desk space would i have both in landscape probably? who knows.
Good looking system, the case is a bit like it is going to charge at you! Hmm, with the eyefinity setup you have there it would be great for the (now dead?) RTS games which could show the minimap on a seperate screen (the large one).
