There are several other "computer places" in my house, but these are the main setups.......
Holly cow that's a nice setup Ty .. I like
just got my new case in this evening.
Very HAL like, I like it.
Least elegant entrant so far:
Some rather poor photos taken on an ancient Nokia brick (it's the only camera I have):
Visible technology: My main PC, Acer monitor, Razer Mako speakers, Steelseries mouse, Logitech keyboard, Homebase desk lamp, Tenda wireless bridge, Logitech Rumblepad, Sennheiser headphones, Logitech desktop microphone, BoE branded USB stick.
wow dude you really need a new camera
Yup, but I would use it too rarely to justify the expense.
i dunno man, 20 bucks would go a long ways. my sister just bought an underwater camera, 12mp, for 26 + shipping.
Thats something for you to decide on,But Basic Digicams start from around £25.
Still a considerable cost per photo - I'm not the kinda person who likes to take photos of themself, or of friends and family, or of holiday destinations. And even if I was, in this day and age, they all end up on facebook. It should tell you something that almost all of the photos I have ever taken are somewhere on this site (some of the higher quality ones were taken with a borrowed digital camera ).
To be honest the photos on my Nokia brick used to come out a lot better than this, I guess it's just showing it's age. And, if that's the case, I'll get a better camera as part of the phone that replaces it when it eventually fails.
Cleaned up my desk the other day.
Nice chair and game controller.
Do you use the mac's screen for gaming on your PC, too? Or is that contoller for gaming on the mac? :O
Ya the iMac is also the display for my main machine.
I don't know your prefeneces...just thought id mention it,that current budget cams are very cheap....
I new they had gone down a lot over the years, although to be honest I hadn't realised they were as cheap as they are. Maybe sometime when I have an excuse to take lots of photos, I'll consider it
Lowfat - do you have some fancy devise for switching the input devices from the mac to the PC, then? I've been tempted to look into such a devise at various times in the past when I've been using the Linux box regularly.
I just press fn + command + f2 on my Apple keyboard.
So your input devices are linked to the mac, which is then linked to the PC? By what, if this is so?
Yes the iMac has a DisplayPort input on it. So I just acts like a monitor to my PC when I hit those keys.
How do they inputs from the mouse and keyboard reach the PC, though? (Sorry if I am being stupid here, but this is useful info for me).
15 feet USB repeater cable, 15 hoot DisplayPort cables, and 20 foot audio cables.
Separate names with a comma.
