Just North of Weeting actually about a mile north of Castle Weeting, a chap there has a private garage and he is doing great work with Bedfords and MG's and of course my tiny Lupo which has fully recovered from the disasterous damage of the former engine mod. I have learned alot from this chap, and he has a wonderful farm raising Barley. His wife is a lovely lady that performs cyrstal healing and makes wonderful teas's and what not from local herbs, etc. Very interesting car though, only has 65k on the odo and a gem to drive. I shall have it soon or trade it in for the Steed Avengers restoration in the garage.
56k Warning Thanks.. the car was better than I could have hoped for. It drove and looked almost new.. VERY nice. The way it handles and the overall "feel" of the car when driving is the best part I think. It seems to have a well-balanced low center of gravity or something. Very solid, no pulling to left or right, no shimmy at high speed, etc. It is not crazy fast in a straight line, the turbo model is pretty quick though. It does fine though- if it were a manual transmission it would be a little quicker, but the auto transmission actually makes it more valuable. We're getting a great deal on it too. I took some higher res pics. You can see that there is a slight film of tree pollen on it, it's just that time of year. We are going to pick it up tomorrow. What look like imperfections are just reflections or the ground and my car sitting to the left.. It's funny you can see the rear wheel of my car. Another view.. We might get a factory option rear wing with LED brake lights in it.. I have a pic of a non-GT model with a wing on it.. It looks OK, my wife wants one, but I like the more understated look w/o the wing. It's not some huge WRX STI wing though if we do get one. Kinda what it would look like w/ a wing on there. No "skirts" on the side with stock wheel. Wheels on our car are a factory option. Now may favorite pic I took of the car... Factory wheels I actually like, that's rare. Front- I can't wait till it snows now.. in the rain and snow is where this car really shines. Edit- everything worked out and the car is ours.. at home. The more I drive it the more I like it. I couldn't have found a better deal I don't think.
Here's my car that I got 2 months ago, 2004 Mustang GT. It looks reddish in the pics, but it's actually competition orange. I was gonna get an 08 Civic, until I saw this car. After the test drive I HAD to have it. F' gas mileage:evil: Anyway, you can see the tips of the SLP Loudmouth II exhaust I put on, gives it a nice thunder while driving
that's a nice ride! i test drove a GT like that one once. it was an awesome experience. one reason why i didn't get it through was because everybody and their mother has a mustang. the other reason why i didn't get it (was a totally wrong reason why though), was because i knew my ex didn't care for the mustang and her dream car was an RX8  boy was she jealous! oh, the look on her face .
i think that goes AWD>RWD>FWD .. i did do that right, right? i think the order is actually wrong. awd is better then rwd, and rwd is better then fwd. FWD>RWD>AWD i think would be correct.
yes, that is true. that's the one thing i don't like about my accord. the fact that it's FWD. well, the other thing is that it doesn't have a 5 speed MT. i'd be much happier with my car if it had one or the other. preferrably both!
I tested a WRX once too.. they are silly fast. I almost bought an 01' Impreza 2.5 RS like the one above (but silver) last year. I should have pulled the trigger and got it. It only had 60,000 miles on it. I have one Suby, if my Chevy ever dies I'll get an Impreza or another Legacy. What great cars these things are.
it's been a while since this thread has been up and i'd like to bring it back from the dead! anyways, i know i've posted these pix here and there but never all together at once. so, here they are! These pix here are of my beats. My 800w Kenwood 4ch. amp for my component speakers My 1200w Sony ClassD amp single channel amp for my subs My Pioneer DEH-6000ub head unit My subs. the silverish material you see on the trunk is called Roadkill. it's essentially a cheap imitation dynamat. it did help a significant amount with the rattle from my subs. now i just need something for my license plate. Before and after pix of my drop Before - front After - front Before - rear After - rear Rear sway bars. i couldn't get a picture of the front sway bars as it was too low for me to get under my car.
continued.... a sneak pic of the front rotors. yes, i know they're kinda dirty. and some overall shots.
