Source: TG Daily ________ Burbank (CA) - People are willing to go through hell to get the upcoming Sony PlayStation 3 console and there are already lines forming for November 17th launch. We went to the Best Buy store in Burbank where people started lining up on Monday November 6th, 11 days. Watch our video as one guy explains how he quit his job to stand in line, while another won't be buying his girlfriend an engagement ring anytime soon.
Anyone else out there that has 11 days to sit on the sidewalk waiting for a game to come out? Even if I didn't have a job, or girlfriend, or anything else I can't imagine doing that for 11 days. Maybe 2 or 3 as a lark, but not 9 - 11.
dumb..... utterly stupid.... considering i betcha half if not less of those guys will end up not getting one anyways.
ive got no job, no girlfriend, no school, and i sure as hell wouldnt even dream of sitting out there for that long waiting in line. now i WILL wait there wednesday morning for about 18 hours or so. hopefully these fanatics have way more money then brains, because im truely hopeing to cash in on all of this.
How much do you think you'll get for it on ebay that evening? Or are you going to hold out till Xmas gets closer and post it then?
i really dont know, seeing as pre orders are going for 2000 right now, im hopeing for 2500-3000 on release night. i think ill sit back a couple of hours and see how the market starts playing out. if its not bringing in what i hoped, ill probably sit on it till xmas. in a worst case scenario, ill end up with a premium PS3 for my self.
I bet they are Sony Employees. Have one for each store wait there and people will drive by and be like o sh*t!
