I got that with the official 3.9's and the Omega's. As soon as I rebooted the system, everything was fine and the icons were back to normal.

Well After thw VGA error when installing the driver, I installed it through device manager and it worked!!

First I unistalled the drivers from control panel and then from device manager (I also used the driver cleaner).. Then restarted..
The driver files were allready extracted to a folder from runing the install before, so I just went in device manager, and went through update driver. From there I chose "have disk" and browse to the folder where the files were in, and selected the file "C2_RAD_OMEGA". Then it gives you a list of two drivers with the same name, I chose the sevond one for WINXP.. And it installed the drivers with out a problem!!

Now Im able to finally play the COD demo without it pausing all the time... The driver is great now!!

I suggest anyone having problems with the installer try using device manager update..

    Are you drunk dude? lol-

    I say this--
"Well that is strange, I installed .net 1.1 and not one change to my system that I could see- none of the probs I had before-- I deleted the .asp account and all is well- Off to install the Omegas."

    then you say this--
"Try to run a format.. It can be driver conflicts.."

    then I say this--
"Read post above your last one-- all is fine."

    then you say this--
"If it dosent work i guess all is not fine? I dont know what u want me to read? Can u quote it?"

I said to read the post above your first post-- you must not have done that--

Don't worry, no need to "run a format" thanks anyway. lol

    :duh:

do these new drivers have the wmv feature?

i downloaded the old version of 3.8b or soemthing because it had a feature i liked, ie wmv hardware support. in the C version or something it was removed. was just the option removed, or was the entire support removed from it, AND how about these new drivers, does it have WMV hardware suport? if not why were they not inlcuded? were there problems? im very much into video and the more support i can get for video and video encodeing the better. if there is anything you can inlcude in a future driver to help with encoding pleaes ohhh please let me know!!!! www.doom9.org for info and research if needed. :p they are helpfull.

Re: do these new drivers have the wmv feature?

I had to remove the option because the WMV accel support is still in beta testing and doesn't work well right now, maybe in a future driver set...

I don't know why but the driver did not install for my Radeon IGP 345M. It is commonly found in HP Pavilion ze53XX notebooks. When I take a look at the inf file the settings for the chipset (RS200M) are in place except in the PCI ID section. looks like the onega driver does the same thing. wierd or what? :p

The installer also doesn't work with original AIW Radeon's (same problem occurs with ATI's 3.9's). Gets an INF error: video driver not found upon installation. Drivers can be installed manually through the device manager, but then the WDM drivers won't install.

    Overclock settings not saved...

    Hi all,

I have a little problem with omega drivers 96b and 96c (don't know for the others). When I try to overclock my 9600 pro, I press on "SET" and on "CURRENT" to save my settings and make them load after reboot, but when I restart my computer settings go back to card default.

    Can Omegadrive help me ?

I also try with RageTweaker and all goes well with it, my settings are reloaded at startup...

    Thanks

    ZeeDD.

    Re: Overclock settings not saved...

You want to OC your card all the time? Even when surfing net- or writing e-mail? I only OC before games or benching- so no need to have it OC from boot up.. I know there is a separate button in Radclocker to make it OC from boot- if you hit that it will do it...

There is no clock counter on the overclock tab, just two sliders.... What's the deal with that? How can you know what's safe and what isn't?
