    I will purchase an N-force 2 PCB - Probably the A7X8X Deluxe. I would like to ensure I also get the best RAM I can get. I was thinking about getting two 512 MB Corsair chip's but not sure if they are the best. Is there a chart or something that compairs the quality of the different RAM manufactueres (Corsair, Kingston, PNY, Etc...)? Your help is appreciated.

    The best luck I've ever had from any ram is with Corsair. It's a little more expensive but worth it, especially if you are dealing with a finicky motherboard. Funny thing is I'm running Kingston in my current computer and not really had any problems. Running on ultra mem settings too. By the way I'm considering a Nforce 2 mb myself. The Asus deluxe looks very sweet and tempting although I want a little more info on the Chaintech before I buy.

    Don't buy the ASUS.... It doesn't clock as high as the Abit NF7. It's much more expensive too. 130$ for ASUS. 100$ for the ABIT.

    Corsair XMS, man. Not from personal experience, but that's what I always hear.

    As for a board, how about the Epox 8RDA+?

    I have the Corsair XMS PC3200 1 512 stick. It is alright from what I know so far. I haven't gotten to play with it much yet. But I hear it is the most stable ram when overclocked. And it is the best overclocking ram, speed, and timings. But don't buy the ASUS. Vampy is right. Go with the Epox or the Abit. Or even go look at the Chaintech nForce board. I've heard many things about that board.

    My 2 cents is that OCZ is the worst memory in existence... I have some PC3000 OCZ memory (don't ask), and it overclocks to an amazing 143 fsb... before utterly locking up everything...

    The new kingston HyperX pc3500 are a nice buy, i saw a test were they were able to go up to 478 with spd settings. btw. they uses 4.5 ns modules :)

    I love Kingston, that's usually all I buy. I don't overclock heavily though, so if you do, go with the Corsairs.

    My current computer is running the modules at 143mhz (286mhz DDR) at CL2 and they are only rated PC2100 @ CL 2.5...PC1600 (100mhz) @ CL 2....so I'd say they're pretty damn good. All agressive mem timings work fine, no crashes, no corruption, no errors.
