My (what I call) proper camera is out of juice and I was too lazy to open the screen or go outside for a better photo, so here is a lousy photo through a screen lol.
I hadn't used my sony in few months so I took this photo last night, I don't remember the time, between 8 and half past 8 in the evening. I do remember though the temperature was over 36C (97F) I zoomed in (not max) and it looks quite good for a shot without a tripod.
Yes I know I should try to use a tripod, but, by the time I prepare the tripod I have lost the moment. I love my tiny Sony DSC-WX500, love it. This is zoomed in btw.
Same evening as the previous one, same ship, different angle and zoom level. Like a sea of lava. Again, no tripod, just my hands holding the camera in the air.
A screenshot from a video I recorded and the video itself. It's of the Armored Cruiser HS Georgios Averof, an armored cruiser launched in 1910-11. It took part in the Balkan Wars, in the first World War and the second World War. The only remaining armored cruiser in the world. It is for years now a ship museum. It was brought here today for the celebrations of the October 28th. I completely forgot about it so I wasn't prepared at all. I had just awaken, looked outside the window and saw it. Once more, no tripod used. With it there are two more navy ships. One is a coast guard ship and one is a frigate, the F464 Kanaris.
mind if I highjack your thread a little? sky here looked interesting tonight, and all my cameras were dead, except one old compact snapped this from 3rd floor window
Some zoom action that doesn't include the moon. While in Florida for the funeral of my mother-in-law, we did some sight-seeing of places we hadn't been to in many years. These two photos are of the Anclote Power Plant in Tarpon Springs, FL, taken from Green Key Beach, near New Port Richey, FL. First one is 100% Zoom, the other Full Wide Angle... There were rain storms in the area which shows up in the photos as being a bit hazy.
