One I saw recently... "Health department determined that people who live in Ohio should not travel to Ohio" (it was a covid warning)
Meeeh... I congratulate on the eve, the next day, the day after that, 5 days after that... I don't know, people consider it polite around here, so I do it.
~Either way.. I hope the magic of Christmas fills every corner of your heart and home with joy — now and always__Merry Christmas
I picked up a burger tonight at a local place with a small bottle of Coke and, while the burger was excellent, I never had Coke that tasted so good! It was lemony and... something else that I can't put my finger on, but it was incredibly flavourful. I drank just under half the bottle with the burger, every sip tasting 10x better than normal, and then, just after finishing the last bite, which was actually an empty piece of the bun (cleansing my palate), I took some more Coke and... suddenly it was just plain ol' Coke. I drank some more, but the magic was gone. Weird. I guess that something in that burger really enhanced the flavour of the drink. I almost want to go for another burger tomorrow just to see if it's going to produce the same effect.
My city is being ran by people who openly hate it. So many trees ripped out, so many squares and minor (and not so minor) landmarks "remodeled" by being razed to the ground and just turned into a (completely) empty concrete wasteland ("that's how squares are supposed to work, now there's space for things to happen there")... The protected status of a section of the downtown was allowed to expire the other day. The deputy mayor (who actually runs the city) said that the status will be reinstated ASAP, but for some of the houses in that part of the city, all pre World War 2 and at least one from the XIX century, it will be too late, because literally 24h after the expiration, they were demolished by an investor, who previously got the lot, waited for the gap in the protection status (as if he knew...) and then immediately showed up with machinery and all of the required paperwork from the municipality and the city (don't let anyone say they aren't efficient).
Haha, in that case, I can tell you that the vaccine was delicious! I'm in Belgrade, although, having been to Skopje, I kind of know what you mean (although I probably don't know the half of it). Although, as far as I've seen, your new squares and landmarks are hardly boring.
No, they're extra-boring. They recreated half the world's landmarks and monuments in one place... I mean, how stupid can you be. Instead of creating something new, you're recreating things that exist on every historical place on earth... plain and simple - dumb. It was a money laundering operation - we pay someone to build this or that, this or that costs 100.000 euros to build, we say it costs 500.000, we split the rest with the construction company. Not that I've got anything against it, I mean... it's the Balkans , there is no other way , but they could've build it to be more in the brutalist architectural style that was the basis for most monuments and buildings after the 1963 earthquake... maybe a bit more futuristic than that, but compatible with that style. So now, we've got Rome, Paris, London and god knows what in one place... damn... well, there goes my need to travel, LOL .
Some clowns here are selling 2012 iMac ripoffs, together with 4cm bezels: The computer inside is different, though, as the only build on offer features an even older, 2nd gen i3 (that's going to be 10 years old next month), dug out of god knows what landfill (or at least a pile of ancient laptops destined for a landfill), coupled with a whopping 4GB of RAM, 120GB of storage and Windows 10. They are trying to sell it for 500€, which isn't too much for a 27" AIO, except this one is literally made of junk.
