    Based on the Change Log..

The biggest thing about this release is the forcing of AA. More input about the drivers later.

Also noticed that it's a whole 2 MB bigger.

    Known Issues
The following section provides a brief description of known issues associated with the latest version of CATALYSTâ„¢. These include the following:

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Caution: Forcing on Anti-Aliasing is now permitted. This will permit users to use Anti-Aliasing on games such as Madden 2004 (which users are requesting). Forcing on Anti-Aliasing (through the CATALYSTâ„¢ control panel) in the the following games will cause corruption. Anti-Aliasing is not compatible with the following games:

    · Prince Of Persia: Sands of Time
    · Splinter Cell / Pandoras Box
    · Race Driver (TOCA)
    · Crazy Taxi 3

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Enabling multi-monitors at different display resolutions results in Direct3D or OpenGL game images appearing off center on the secondary display. Further information on this issue can be found at: www.ati.com/support/infobase/4406.html
Textures are not applied correctly in the game Silent Storm when setting the resolution to 1024x768 32bpp and the quality option set to high. Further information on this issue can be found at: www.ati.com/support/infobase/4522.html
While playing the game Halo, images that should be hidden behind solid foreground objects are showing through. Further information on this issue can be found at: www.ati.com/support/infobase/4502.html
Enabling AF to 8x and running the game Battlefield Vietnam with the graphics set to high and the display set to 1280x1024 32bpp results in display corruption being seen at a certain point of the game. Further information on this issue can be found at: www.ati.com/support/infobase/4500.htm
A split screen is noticed when loading the game Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory with AA set to 2X or 4X. This issue will be resolved in an upcoming CATALYSTâ„¢ release
Texture corruption is noticed when playing the game Hulk under Windows XP with an ATI RADEONâ„¢ 9000 installed. This issue will be resolved in an upcoming CATALYSTâ„¢ release
Specular lighting issues are noticed in the game City of Heros when playing the game under Windows XP with an ATI RADEONâ„¢ 9000 PRO installed. This issue will be resolved in an upcoming CATALYSTâ„¢ release
Launching EVE Online under Windows XP with an ATI RADEONâ„¢ 8500, 9100, or 9200 series results in a VPU recover error before the terms and conditions is displayed. This issue will be resolved in an upcoming CATALYSTâ„¢ release
Display corruption and missing polygons are noticed in the game Indian Jones and the Emporers Tomb. This issue will be resolved in an upcoming CATALYSTâ„¢ release
Playing the game Need for Speed:Underground under Windows XP with an ATI RADEONâ„¢ 8500 installed results in the road ahead not being lit up by the car's headlights. This issue will be resolved in an upcoming CATALYSTâ„¢ release

Really don't want to vote on these because they've gotten the old 'counter-strike cba to remember your fullscreen colour profiles so we'll just stick with your desktop profile instead' :( Colour profiles always a big problem for because everythings pitch-black on default.

Bugs for me so far then:

    Colour profile,
Fullscreen profiles aren't always used when starting some games (namely, cs). Works 1 out of 5 times.
Dropping to desktop from ingame (alt-tab) switches to desktop profile but, going back in to the game, doesn't revert back to fullscreen profile.

As soon as they can get AA to work in Pandora Tomorrow, I'll rate them. Until then, they dont even get installed on my system.

After reading the release notes, I probably will skip installing these drivers. It seems like it doesn't offer anything new
    over the 4.4.

That's awesome because the Omega's are fast drivers...

I give them a TEN, and I haven't even downloaded then yet.

"Caution: Forcing on Anti-Aliasing is now permitted." <--- that's why- ATI listens to it's customers.

I'll test them too, but I never have any problems with the stock drivers anyway. And if there is a performance boost that's great too.

what did u expect? 30fps more for everygame? maybe they can do that in the future for OGL games, but for now DX games have top of their framerate for the ati drivers, well like 85% of them anyway :p

Little confused cause I thought these were identical to the beta 6444 however on my new X800 Pro 3dmark 2003 went from 9300 to 8400 with the new 4.5. Just starting to check out a few games.

Anyone that is fortunate enough to have a X800 Pro & has any input please let me know.

I can't see listed the fix for the annoying pink&red textures in some Painkiller levels when using a 9800XT. This is the only issue I've had with 4.4s, so if it isn't fixed, no reason for me to download the new set. Oh, and I agree with Bicka they need to do something about the colour profiles not working properly, but I guess I can live with this...

AA still dont work in Splinter Cell 2. It causes corruption. Until there is a way to rectify that there is no point in putting them on my machine. The 4.4s I'm using now are fine.
