Installed the soundmax and mb2.1 the latest posted above, in Rampage Formula (AD1988b) soundmax. Problem is that headphones have no effects on them (e.g bass boost or equalizer) Sound volume for headphones work well and the mode i use is separate them from 5.1 speakers. After a lot of test seems that 1.9 and 2.1 MB (which is actully MB2 both) the 1.9 does not create a fake sound card just like 2.1 does. Also the speaker setup 2-2.1-5.1 etc does not work. With soundmax panel can only change. With packages 1.5-1.6 (FX MB 1) no such problem with speaker setup. The problem when enabling the front headphones to be separate is driver issue or MB issue. Original soundmax drivers (taken from ASUS) when switching to that mode have equalizer separate for headphones. So, modded MB cannot do much? or the activation need to also activate Sound max headphones?
I have enable the mixed / 3d etc also in front headphones when they work standalone mediafire.com/?c34jr73nplj8ww6
I have made a mod on Conexant HD Audio for old chip %HdAudioFunctionDriver.Venice5045.DeviceDesc% = HdAudModel,HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_14F1&DEV_5045&SUBSYS_103C30B7 %HdAudioFunctionDriver.Venice5045.DeviceDesc% = HdAudModel,HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_14F1&DEV_5045&SUBSYS_103C30BB that is on laptop HP Pavillion dv6000 series, based on Soundmax mod Try and report back. In order to install it use Device Manager 1)Right click on your sound card and driver uninstall 2)Reboot if prompted 3)Go to Device manager choose install -> update driver -> Browse computer-> let me pick my own-> browser to the downloaded driver and choose wi6R30B7.inf 4)After reboot if prompt install X-FI software and reboot 5)Activate with activator that is in the package which is just the same with activator already in Soundmax Driver is for Win7x64 only mediafire.com/?mm7j2vhnej9zc11
Hi. I have the following laptop: HP Compaq NX6325 with the SoundMAX audio chip (AD1981HD). Would it be possible to add it to the SoundMAX driver package that works with X-FI MB? The HARDWARE IDs are as follows: HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_11D4&DEV_1981&SUBSYS_103C30B0&REV_1002 and HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_11D4&DEV_1981&SUBSYS_103C30B0 Thanx.
Thanks, it works! The only problem I have is that it won't detect when I switch to headphones; it keeps playing via the built-in speakers. In the Windows Sound menu, the only option to choose from is "stereo", there's no "headphones" and other options like before.
