You need the activator. I have not included it in the modded drivers. Look some posts back. You can find it in 2.61 modded drivers or as a standalone download
Sorry, but neither the links to the activator, nor the 2.61 modded drivers are working for me. Could you please upload them again? Thanks in advance!
AW: Realtek/Soundmax Modds + SB X-fi MB 1.2 Thank you! So how is the correct sequence? First Installing the driver Second acitvate Third install XMB2-allsoundcard (I can not find the link)
Re: AW: Realtek/Soundmax Modds + SB X-fi MB 1.2 The sequence of installation : 1. Uninstall the existing Realtek dirver and software (include Creative 's one). Reboot 2. Install modded Realtek driver. 3. Install XMB2 all soundcard, choose English language only. Here is link download: dropbox.com/s/z4jhhq26loi8u54/XMB2-allsoundcard.rar 4. Restart in Safe mode + disable antivirus + unrar the Aktiv.7z to a folder, then: - Go to the unrar folder above, right click on "Run.bat", choose Run as administrator. A black window should briefly pop up and go away. - Check in this folder "C:\ProgramData\Creative\SoftwareLock", it should had 11 .KGA files. 5. Reboot to normal mode. 6. Execute [creative Audio Console] and begin setting your sound card. Good luck !
just found out the solution to my problem in this thread by downloading this file and downloading xmb2-allsoundcard and following sys_tester instructions thank you sys_tester for uploading the programs and posting the instructions.
AW: Realtek/Soundmax Modds + SB X-fi MB 1.2 Thanks again! but the folder "C:\ProgramData\Creative\SoftwareLock" doesn't exist as modded driver i uesd "64bit_Vista_Win7_Win8_R269_modded"
You need to disable antivirus BEFORE downloading Aktiv.7z. The zip file contains 3-4 files. If you had the antivirus on, then all wiped except the .bat one, and you did nothing. Try again activator. Once you run activator successfully you have no longer to run it again. You can then install / unistall driver and Creative Programs as many times as you like
One question regarding the drivers, do they have things like sound focus/ DTS/ Dolby slipstreamed with the drivers. I ask because the ones which I currently have (from gamespirit: claudiogamespirit.blogspot.com/2011/10/realtek-via-modx-fi.html ) have these and I really feel that sound focus makes a huge difference. Other things like SRS with this driver does not really make any good difference, but really sound focus is good. Thanks.
No, they have not such things, they are 'cut down' from original driver. Don't know why, should cooperate, but original mod (which i copy) does that 'cut down' and i follow it
AW: Realtek/Soundmax Modds + SB X-fi MB 1.2 hey guys, i hope you can help me! I've got a new Asrock Z77 Pro 3 since yesterday and a fresh windows installation. The Mainboard has a Realtek ALC892 HD-Audio onboard card and comes with THX TruStudio. Is it possible for me to enable EAX 5.0? - And if it is so - can somebody pls explain me how i can do this? thank you very much ;-)
You can download Aida32 and check at sound devices which EAXes you currently support! I guess you ok with the software you already have
Re: AW: Realtek/Soundmax Modds + SB X-fi MB 1.2 I did unistall the Realtek Drivers and have used Driver Sweeper to clean remains from Creative and Realtek. after following those steps, i get "The audio device supported by this application is not detected. The application will exit." when trying to access Creative Audio Control Panel I'm using Windows 7 x64, my Motherboard is a Gigabyte P67-UD3 B3 with a Realtek ALC892/889 My SoftwareLock folder contains these files CTD1JXF23A.kga CTD5H2W3DK.kga CTL42SW23M.kga CTL52C6FE2.kga CTLD2JX234.kga CTLD14KLI5.kga CTLE2C3BA1.kga CTLP22SV21.kga CTT78HSK12.kga CTT92KD23N.kga
Re: Îòâåò: Realtek/Soundmax Modds + SB X-fi MB 1.2 can anyone please make a driver with X-Fi MB- SRS -Sonic Focus -Dolby -DTS -THX ProStudio with this soundmax driver and a x-fi mb2 allsoundcard
It is working! What problems you have? If you cannot do it from the X-Fi, do it from Windows Sound (Taskbar icon)
