Don't forget that the Chinese economy is the fastest growing in the world. It would be a shame if the american companies failed to jump this train. There are already american companies that actively support the supression of the Chinese people. Cisco is THE major constructor of "the greatest firewall in the world" but that doesn't matter, because it's good for the american economy.

Like Sweden doesn't deal with China.

    SWEDEN-CHINA TRADE COUNCIL

Sweden-China Trade Council was established in 1980. Key Swedish exporters to and importers from China are members of the council. Leading Swedish companies in the service sector are also members.

Sweden-China Trade Council is a commercial link between Sweden and China. It assists Swedish companies as well as Chinese enterprises to find business partners and to give advice on the Chinese and Swedish markets. Sweden-China Trade Council has agreements of co-opeation with i.a. China International Trust and Investment Corporation (CITIC) and China Shipbuilding Trading Co Ltd.

China is the worlds largest recipient of foreign direct investment and Sweden has substantial investments in China.

The major difference is that Sweden doesn't invade countries in disguise as world liberator/guardian of democracy.

I don't know about you but I would rather have stable economy. Sometimes you have to make desicions you don't like. But when the west developes an alternate fuel source then I think things will change.

I never said there was anything wrong with it but I get irritated when other countrys blame the US for doing something when they themselfs do the same thing.

China and India will be the next economic super powers...within two years..Russia, Japan and America will be eclipsed by China. It is coming soon, I have even been advised to learn some Mandarin Chinese because some of our customers are asian.

The US should not support one communist country while boycotting another, nor should they condone the oppression of a people because it will financially benifit them (the US).

I don't recall the US critizising anyone for dealling with China or any communist country. Now we did critizise France and Germany for dealing with Saddam but that was because there was supposed to be sanctions in place.

Why not? What makes us so special that we can't do what every other nation does.

Yes, but the US used to deal with Saddam too. Regardless of senctions - it's hypocritical.
