Someone said Thief 3...whats so scary about that game? Maybe the zombies..are a bit
Undying was one of the scariest ever along with the first Alien Vs Predator and SH2
D3- (the first few minutes of the scary parts- then it wore off quick and was over used)
FEAR- (that little girl)
i think fear will be pretty creepy, scariest game hmm id say silent hill 1. when it came out iwas like 12/12 (17 now cant remember when it came out) 3 of us stayed up all night playing it at a friends house, when i went 2 bed the next time i hoesntly thought i saw a monster in my backyard lol
You folks are going to laugh at me..for me it's like scary moments.
1. First Max Payne with all those flash backs.
2. The Suffering was pretty freaky
3. Undying was alright, but made great with a 5.1 setup. I played it for the first time last year.
4. Cold Fear, yes there were some jump moments in there for me.
This is all I can think of right now.
vikeing, that would have been SH2, and theres only 4 of them. number 3 being my personal favorite.
Ubergrendle - if you thought RE1 was scary as hell, youve gotta try the remake on Gamecube. my god... seeing that hunter rush you out of no where scared the shit out of me. and ya, i know what you mean about reloading. FASTER DAMN IT RELOAD FASTER!!!
as for system shock 2, i played it and fount it to be a damn good game. i just never got the whole scary bit out of it. except for the parts that im running on no ammo and no health...
Shalebridge Cradle... enough said
O you mean the whole entire game?
lol actually no, more often then not i had a surplus of ammo for one gun or another. probably because i beat the hell out of anything that didnt have some kind of projectile weapon....
Yeah, I can imagine. Unfortunately, I donated my 400W 5.1 system to the living room for 'the good of the household', or something. :tears:
Not all bad though, got a couple floor standers and a couple bookshelfs plugged into a big ole sony amp, and that provides plenty enough atmosphere to scare the pants off me consistantly.
I havent seen one bloody scary game yet...its all just code...whats so scary about these games..?
Fear is just so not freaky... I mean, the demo had nothing weird at all. A few jumpy scenes but even DOOM 3 freaked me out more -_-
As my sig says, I give Shalebridge Cradle in Thief 3 high marks. That level alone was worth the price of the game to me, also the haunting melody of the Seaside Mannor (with window Moria mourning the death of her pirate).
System Shock 2 is also worthy, as several other people have mentioned...
