In all my life till a few years ago (3-4?) I spilled a drink on my computer desk (either on hardware or just the desk) maybe a couple of times. For the last 3-4 years I do it about 5 times per year.

Old age? (early 40s), perhaps a stroke I am not aware of? I don't get it.

My advice to you, get a keyboard that is water proof, problem solved.

Sometimes shit just happens, sometimes it just happens a little more often.

At MY age, I don't put drinks anywhere near my keyboard...and, the ones I put on the desk have lids and straws. :D

I frequently drink around my PC lol, although my laptop can come completely apart and is washable, as in I can wash the whole thing and it's parts.

But last time I spilled drink on my keyboard I can't even remember, donkey years ago when I was a kid, you guys are just old.... :p

It happens to us all, mate. As long as you're not spilling sacred coffee, there is nothing to worry about :p

Maybe 2 or 3 times over the years but since turning 50 nearest a drink gets to the desk is a small table next to the PC .. nothing on the same table though

My guess is that you changed your desk, or chair, or cups, or you place your cups somewhere where you can slap them and tip them over more easily. Or you're more absent minded.

i never set any food or drink on the surface of any of my electronics aside from the coffee table that happens to share with the laptop, but it's exclusively food and not a drink.

Yeah, having a separate small table for drinks/food is a good idea, I was going to do that months ago, then covid hit the world and it had to be pushed back. It is one of the things I want to buy when I can .
Thank you all for your input.
