got it on easy - listing here
apparently it's a reissue, however the box does say 1984 on it...
In the last pic, the cat is looking at you thinking: "Seriously, dude, you're going to start playing with dolls?"
EDIT: Pretty cool "doll", admittedly.
They've been doing re-issues for quite some time (started back in 2002) actually, even doing some special ones during the 25th anniversary (such as a completely clear, and a completely black Prime), as well as Takara collectors edition re-issues.
Just don't do what I did. I went nuts buying re-issues when they first started, getting all the original first like Megatron, Starscream, Jazz, Iron Hide, and so fourth... I was broke for a month.
This should arrive tomorrow... And yes i am a fan.It was a little expensive..
I have this box on its way from Amazon UK, should be here by Friday I hope
The very same store i have bought it from
I hope the convertion of the originals are well done.... But it looks like i have my weekend tied up.
Got myself an 3in1 printer/scanner/copier. Went for Canon MP250 it was very cheaper than other models and I plan to use it mostly for scanning. So far so good. Cannons are really good in the optics market.
can't do without proper coffee for any length of time (horrible, horrible cats broke my Krups the other day), got a new espresso machine today
Thanks for the reminder.
Mine arrived Friday, 2 days before release date :w00t:
On the plus side, the picture is incredible. However, the films seem to look less realistic because you can see so much detail. For example, I can see that Leia's hair is a slightly different colour from her buns and the costumes that aliens wear look a lot more like costumes than I have seen. Still, good times.
I would think that all the effects and costumes would show through easier in HD, hopefully, being Star Wars, it won't detract from the fun of watching those movies, again. We've bought them before and when 4K-ray comes out, we'll buy them again.
That's a good machine.
I pre-ordered mine months ago, exactly the same day I pre-ordered LOTR BR in fact. I have to wait until Friday to get them, but that's good for me as I finish up my night shift tomorrow, and I'll get to watch them all weekend.
BTW.. I just heard this news: the 3D releases will be coming out next year at the theatres. The first one will be Episode 1 on Feb.10th, but I don't know the schedule for subsequent releases, or when the BR releases will be coming out either.
To be honest i lost track of the Star Wars B/R release a little while ago... It were later monday night i first saw Amazon had the set in stock,With a free (unusual for amazon) next day delivery.. I have no idea when that were introduced.. but thats just a small bonus...
Im after the LOTR B/R (Extenended Edition) set also,As i only want my favourites on B/R but this is another £60...So i may need to wait till next month :hmm:
I watched those Original Saga BD's and the quality is great though not high enough that it won't get better when Lucas decides to restore them again to make more money The prequels look and sound amazing gonna watch those soon.
So the Star Wars arrived today, but I cant play it - it says that my blu-ray player (PowerDVD 10 Ultra) needs an update to play the disc. There is no update available. That's just great
Install AnyDVD HD trial you should be able to play.
Cyberlink released a patch v3306, I can play the movies, but the PowerDVD CPU usage is constantly about 30%, compared to 3-6% while playing other blu-rays. It wouldn't be a problem, but the picture is falling apart randomly. I can try to install AnyDVD HD and see if that helps...
Power DVD 11, perhaps?
The Star Wars BR discs have a new BD+ protection on them... or rather a new "tweaked" version. Someone mentioned PowerDVD 9, and from I've read that player plays them just fine as long as it's updated, but there's nothing about any other player having such luck.
As for AnyDVD HD, it's a crapshoot. 18.104.22.168 supposedly works on the new BD+, but I've read of instances where it just fails.
