Yeah, I figured I wouldn't be getting an AMD graphics card any time soon since I'm so happy with my GTX 560. Now that I look back though, I probably should have got an AMD 990XX board instead, but it's too late and I'm too happy with this board :D. Plus, the power supply should be able to manage two GTX560's, so it's good for an upgrade.

I've got the M4A88T-V EVO....... good stuff, you'll like yours. Personally I don't like the ripjaws but if they're working for you, enjoy. Mine never worked.

They work just fine. So far no issues, but I haven't run a memory test yet so we'll see.

You don't need programs that use 16GB, just take ones that use 1GB and run many at the same time :D

    Nice gear, enjoy!

Still using my Phenom II 965BE. I currently don't have the time to make use of its full potential, but will once school's out. I figured I'd be broke through most of the year anyway so I spent the money while I had it.

My 4th upgrade (ram, monitor, gpu preceded this) for BF3 is a used pair of Sennheiser 595's for an awesome deal. I was using good 5.1 headphones and Z-5500 but I wanted to make the leap to audiophile gear. I played about an hour of BF3 so far and am amazed how good these sound. Just incredible! I can't see how I will want to even use my speakers now the Logitech system just can't compete.

Congrats, although I can't see how one would use a second hand/used pair of headphones. It's like sharing a toothbrush or something :p

How do you find the scaling down from 5.1 to stereo? Or are you using virtualization software to get 5.1 there too?

If you feel like something is crawling inside your ears, discontinue immediately, rinse them out with warm soapy water and consult a doctor. Other than that, good buy!

I have the 555 and switching between 5.1 and stereo using the front panel of my X-Fi is convenient and still get pretty good localization.

Here is my purchase of the day:

No, it still installs from the discs but uses the same process as when downloading. That made me LOL because when i first started the install, i saw the same graph with "Ready to Download" button, I'm like "huh? download, i have the f'g discs!"

Haha you bunch of germaphobes! I got it from a fairly reputable source not some anonymous Ebay dude with a nasty ear infection.

I'm going to find out today how CMS3D works with these headphones and I will experiment with different sound emulation in the X-FI panel. I did find it hard to locate sources of fire at first but then it was literally my first time on some of these BF3 maps and all Hell was breaking loose it wouldn't have mattered. Even if the positional sound isn't that great, the quality of the sound more than makes up for it. Best way to describe the sound quality is that it's like delicious waves of chocolate in my ears but maybe that's just the germs! :wtf:
