Left is my old Galaxy Nexus; right is the Nexus 4.
Oh, "I see" said the blind man.
A little update to the Voyager family. Voyager 4GB -> Voyager GT 4GB -> Voyager GT 32GB USB3
Next up, my first cell phone... smart phone, super phone, PCD, whatever you people want to call it
Haven't finished setting up my Start Screen
and just like the PC, already upgrading the phone
It's embarrassing posting a pic with android marketing, that packaging will be shred seconds after removing the card.
You know what they say... The bigger they are, the less megabytes fall. (when you drop the card)
If it wasn't for the green LED, i can see myself forgetting that little bugger in the reader all the time
Real nice CJLMTLCA, good haul.
I need to get my SSD and 16GB of RAM installed.
I also want to buy a USB 3.0 card reader and I sorta need / want a wireless KB and mouse for my sytem.
Feel like making potential spies job easier in detecting what you type?
Detecting my type?
I think he means what you type out with your keyboard.
Nice stuff, CJL. I must say I'm curious about the phone.
Q: What's better than 2 2TB WD Reds?
A: Free 2TB WD Reds
Well, it was a Christmas bonus from work; eBuyer credit.
So are you going to build a NAS system?
Nope, I wanted lasting storage in my PC. Those 4 are in RAID 5 and have replaced the 750GB WD Black (used for documents, music pictures and other bits and pieces) and 1.5TB Samsung (used for videos, downloads and other storage tasks).
I have data on my drives that either can't be re-done or re-obtained easily, along with stuff I just don't want to lose. They are not, however, ridiculously important; I could live without this stuff, I just don't want to.
There aren't enough benefits to me to get a NAS over internal drives.
I'm also trying to aim as long-term as possible with these drives so I don't have to replace them in the next few years. The OS drive, possibly but the data drive(s), not if I don't really really have to.
Sounds good. The largest drive I've ever owned is a 1TB Western Digital Black but I gave that away a while back. I don't really have any data on my PC I can't easily replace and the 750GB hard drive in my laptop is more than enough for me.
damn, very very nice tak
That is epic
This is exactly what I would LOVE to do for myself
Nice drives man!
I had a fun time plugging them all in. I have all of the drives (except the MXT) facing backwards to make the front look neater. However, my PSU has no 90° SATA power connectors so I ended up getting Molex to SATA adapters. 6 drives, 8 power plugs so there's a lot of slack. I might learn to mod the cables one day...
All of my files are copied across and there's a crapload of room left
It took me a few mins to realise why the drive was showing two partitions, one of which I couldn't format. I've never had a drive >1.5TB, not alone over 3TB so I didn't know that I needed to convert it to something other than MBR. Glad it didn't take me too long to find that out.
