Maker, model, specs?
Does it still have the problem where you can't control your heating when the Internet goes down for whatever reason?
There is an option to Upload a File...and you can upload an image file. It just has to be limited in size.
EDIT: I just noticed that my hyperlinked image file has been removed. ???
We haven't been down that road, yet. But, it does appear to have manual control options.
Testing testing 1,2,3...
yeah, but, can it run Crysis?
In 2 eyes no less...
Good to know the attach pic functionality is still working after the upgrade though.
I can see a lot of pictures here. Soon I will post my 1 pack ab.
So anyone pick up a 4Gb RX-480 yet.... seems pretty much all of them are in fact 8gb with samsung memory chips.... just bios flash it and boom.. you've just turned your $199 video card into a $239 video card for free.
As amusing as it is... this is the first time ever that i can recall... in which you can quite literally download more vram. http://downloadmoreram.com/
So AMD is also faking the amount of VRAM on their cards? LOL My guess is that this isn't going to last, but great for those who got their hands on 8GB cards at reduced price.
indeed they are..... nvidia fakes 4gb.. gives you 4gb but 3.5gb is fast and the other stuff is pretty much AVOIDED at all costs.... where as AMD.... probably got some giggles and figured it'd be funny to bios lock out 4GB in order to avoid buggering around getting another PCB certified... in order to make sure they had a few 4GB 480's on the store floor for $199. And considering AMD (or rather ATI's) track record regarding easily modifiable cards/bios.. soft/hard mods to unlock their gpus.. (can anyone remember the 9500np to 9700's..... MASSIVE dollar value and performance improvements).... they probably figured out that "this shit is going to fly off the shelves when the general consumers get wind of this!".
Nvidia takes away.... amd giveth!
Anywho... Long story short regarding the likely reasons. It was "cheaper" from a few people that seem to be in the know supposedly... for amd to buy the bulk of Samsung 1GB chips... and mass produce as many of the 8gb cards as possible.... and instead of creating a seperate line for the 4gb models... it ended up working out cheaper to simply either BIN any cards that had a problem with memory (though incredibly unlikely)... and not have to bother going through all the hoops and red tape to get a 2nd version of a card all certified/compliance tested and all the nonsense since it is afterall just a referrence card anyways.
Been thinking of getting myself a 480 to replace my old 5870. I guess I'd better hurry then.
Edited to add:
Oh rats. Doesn't seem to be any 4GB ones avaliable in Sweden at all.
the 4GB models were pretty much instantly sold out about 3 days ago when news broke that a significant if not nearly all of them were actually bios locked 8gb cards.... though most places only ever carried the 8gb models to begin with. Even with the RX 480's massive supply and constant refilling of stock.. they are still constantly being sold out..
Could not resist once I knew this hit the backwards compatible list.
I have to say, for a 10 GBP mouse, it rocks!
Event Horizon was/is an awesome movie.
One of my most memorable...and aggravating....moments in the game: I chased a bandit clear across the country only to have him ride up a mountain and jump off...committing suicide. <GRRR>
