a wee upgrade ... i'm only keeping my keyboard, mouse and my 8 gig Sapphire RX 480 Nitro ... it's still better than the RX 570 .... ... i was originally going to go for the CoolerMaster Stryker SE but i took the decision it was to big to put on my desk to replace my cumbersome Corsair 600T White case .... should keep me busy tomorrow ... i heard the Ryzen 2600X was a pretty decent cpu to replace my Intel i5 3570K .... must add i have a fresh copy of windows 10 pro from a mate who had a spare copy or several lying unused at the local airport .... my current install of Windows 10 pro is a upgrade from Windows 7 pro
A while back I bought myself a 32" 4K Dell monitor, one that was designed for 100% SRGB and 98% Adobe RGB. Fantastic display, love(d) the multi-tasking functionality and fantastic for editing photos... not so great for gaming (60FPS and a tad too demanding for a 1070, which replaced two 980s) and it's got a huge footprint. Ergonomically (so I'm told) the best way to view a monitor is with a (very) slight tilt and your eyes should be level with the top of the monitor. Of course, if this isn't true, it's really neither here nor there for me - it's not a deal-breaker by any stretch. I then went on to a Dell S2417DG, a 24" 2560x1440 display with G-Sync and up to 165Hz refresh (oc). Fantastic gaming experience. However, to account for productivity I kept setting up the 4K then taking it down as they are too big to have alongside each other (and not particularly practical). I later had the 4K set up in one room with my Macbook and Xbox and the "2K" set up with my main PC in a different room. Far too much space and back & forth for my liking. Plus, going back and forth with photos between Lightroom and Photoshop was really slow on a laptop. So, I wanted a single screen that fit both needs. This also freed up an entire desk, which was a snug fit where it was. [/FirstWorldProblems] After toying with the idea for some time I eventually settled on a mid-point: an ultrawide. I'd previously steered clear as they have less vertical real estate than a 4K and charge more for the privilege. However, I could get decent colour reproduction, G-Sync (or Freesync, wasn't fussy as long as it was G-Sync compatible) and have ample room for multi-tasking. Dual screens was considered too but they would have had to replace either screen anyway and I'm not a fan of the offset to account for gaming (gaming on one screen while the other is off then when not gaming one's off-centre... too many niggles). It was between the X34P or a £1,200 LG, Freesync HDR monitor that hadn't been released yet. The price won out. I've tried multi-tasking, photo editing and gaming and I'm happy with all three!
Nikon D3400 DSLR Camera with 18-55mm and 70-300mm Lenses During at trip to St. Simon's Island a couple months ago, I had one of my cameras set up for video for a sunrise on the Atlantic Ocean. While getting my still-shot camera set up, the wind blew over the other tripod...damaging the view screen on that camera. Then, during the recent Lunar Eclipse, both batteries for my Fujifinepix camera crapped out before I could even get to the full eclipse. That was, even though, the batteries had been fully charged before I left the house. Needless to say, I've been looking for a very good..and reasonably priced digital camera ever since then. This is the one I settled on this afternoon. I feel it was reasonably priced at $499 USD plus tax. I'm presently, impatiently, waiting for the battery to finish charging so I can see just what it will do.
There was rumors that Will Smith was in the process of doing a remake for this. Been in the process for 9 years though. Did it ever get off the ground?
Thanks for sharing. I didn't know that. As much as I like Will Smith, I am glad he turned it down. For the same reasons he mentioned.
Not a PC Upgrade, Just had to spend about an hour and a half (Maybe a little longer) to find out what keeps cutting out my Electric Supply... After unplugging just about every Plug from the sockets. And plugging them all in one by one.. .Eventually found the culprit were my microwave oven.. New one on order.. Nothing Flash just a reasonable Basic set up..
After I move to my new place you are welcome to visit me. My MW oven is in its box ever since bought 1 year ago. I don't know where I was going with this, just think of something funny.
